I Gave My Money a Job Today
Put me in coach! That’s right….I’m staying in the investing, compound your money game. Today I decided to tell my money what to do again. I deposited some more money into my brokerage account so I can go shopping for investments that are in my list. Years ago, I would have never fathomed doing this. I had no knowledge about a brokerage account and how you can leverage it to create wealth! While I don’t have the time benefit that a 30 or 40 year old has, I want to make the most of my time and investment going forward.

@Regina Perkins I'm curious, is there one thing in particular that is holding you back from making that first buy? Let's see how we can make you feel more secure about jumping in and getting started.🙏🏼

Reinvesting Cash
Greetings, I have been using a brokerage firm for greater than 10yrs. to manage my ROTH IRA. The fees for said services are a flat rate. According to Google research , they were within the average range. That being stated, pre joining this group, I sat with my broker for said company, and agreed to put my dormant cash to work. However, we did not discuss the additional cost to me. That was an oversight on my behalf and I have since learned to my surprise the fees do not appear to be a flat based upon a video done by the twins and my most recent statements. Yes, the reinvestment of our cash is a wise decision, i.e. not lie dormant, as we have recently learned, but also remember to ask all of the fee questions. I do plan to revisit this matter soon but have elected to wait until after this Thursday's masterclass just in case there are other things I need to discuss. Looking forward to class, I hope this helps 🦋

@Dolores Sharp-McRae totally can relate. It's never too late to learn.
Question??
We've helped complete beginners go from not knowing a stock from a bond to building their own portfolios, earning passive income, and hitting 20%+ returns. If we were to coach you, what would you want us to help you with? Also why? Tell us in the comments. Be as specific as you want. The more honest you are, the better we can actually help you.
Question??

I need help with simplifying my portfolio, I have stocks and bonds, some slices and ETFs. I want to eventually earn and supplement my income going forward. I want to be able to leave a legacy with my family and teach them how to maintain wealth for themselves.
Gold and silver
Just wanting to get everyone’s opinions on the recent crash. Im new to investing but over my lifetime, i always heard gold and silver are the safest bet but this recent crash……. Idkk

@Kwesi Letren, gold and silver is just as volatile as any other investment in my opinion. I tend not to look at the market daily. It would give me anxiety. If you are going to invest, do it for the long term, set it, and forget it! You will see that over time, growth will happen. Good Luck!

@Nadia B I feel the same way!
Launch Yourself Forward
Just read the latest Wealth Twin newsletter that stressed the importance of letting your job be a launchpad and not your safety net. I along with so many others, have to admit that I fell prey to believing my job and my pay was my safety net. In today’s world, staying on a job for life isn’t guaranteed. How many of us have heard the saying that the only thing guaranteed is taxes and death? 🤔 I so wish I had the wisdom and indepth understanding of financial literacy in my early 30’s and 40’s. How about you? I had to ponder on the twins question “what is your money doing when you’re not looking?” I thought I was being intentional about saving….until I wasn’t. Thanks to Nadia and Nicole, I can now be more intentional about moving my hard earned savings to a high yield savings account and get a higher interest rate rather than the fractional pennies I currently earn. I too believe you can make progress in multiple areas at the same time by being more intentional about giving your money a job to do. Multiple streams of money flowing like a river….well that part, I still have to work on, but I love the fact that I now have a brokerage account that is being funded via automatic deposits. I have invested in a couple of securities to start that money stream. What about you community? What were your Ah-Ha take aways and how are you planning to launch forward? As always,I am grateful for how the twins enlighten and encourage us to think outside the box so that we create financial systems that run well without us, but for us! Happy Tuesday community!
