PAUSING GROUP
Gentlemen, hail and well met. I’m going to pause this group for now. The truth is, none of us needs another group sitting idle in the background, and I do not want this to become just that. I appreciate each of you being willing to step in and give it a shot. My goal was simple: to create a strong point of connection for men. But from the sound of it, many of us are already plugged into other circles, and that is not a bad thing. Since this is also a paid service on my end, I’m at peace with letting it go if it is not truly filling a need. Thank you again for your willingness, your time, and your openness. I have no doubt our paths will cross again down the road. For those of you who are filmmakers, I do have the Fellowship of Christian Filmmakers on both Facebook and LinkedIn, and you are welcome to join us there.

He has risen!
Happy Easter! I hope you're enjoying the weekend and taking some time to yourself to reflect, because the 1st quarter of the year just wrapped... and I'd love to know: How's your year so far? Are you on track with your goals? Personally, I focus on 6 core areas: 1) Spiritual 2) Physical 3) Mental 4) Financial 5) Relational 6) Vocational
Stoicism
I watched a video where the guest talked about stoicism, and I immediately had a negative reaction to it. But, the more I listened, the more I began to agree with much of what it says. Stoicism says: - You cannot control most external events. - You can control your thoughts, choices, and responses. - A good life comes from character, not comfort. The main virtues in stoicism are wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance. A plain-English version would be: “Do not waste yourself fighting reality. Master yourself instead.” Here's where I think the Christian can align: Stoicism helps a man stand firm. Christianity tells him who he must stand under. Does that track?
A simple rule I try to follow in life:
Never miss two days in a row. It works for writing. It works for health. It works for business. Consistency compounds. But only if you're working on the right things.
