clarity on creating your coaching offers + messaging:
Good morning/afternoon/evening dear coaches 🤗 This is a post for anyone out here going through the first steps of building their online coaching business just like me. If you're building your personal brand+ crafting your offers from scratch. Here's a reflection exercise for clarity on outlining+ creating your coaching offers + messaging: WHAT IS YOUR BIG IDEA?❤️‍🔥💥 4 principles of the “PURPLE COW” by Seth Godin 1. Safe = Invisible. It blends into the noise. Being remarkable means being polarizing. Be brave with your messaging!🫦 2. You don’t need everyone. You just need the right few. 💥 3. Be specific enough to scare people off. Talk to who your work is not for. “I’m not your coach if ….”✨ 4. Make your method unignorable. Name your framework. Have clear and tangible phases.❤️‍🔥 BRAND MESSAGE/BIG IDEA 1. What is the message on your heart you feel called to share? 2. What do you want to scream from the mountaintops? 3. What do you wish your people knew? 4. Who do you wish to serve? 5. What do you want to be known for? 6. What can you talk about endlessly given your lived experience? 7. If you weren’t afraid of being seen or misunderstood, what message would you speak relentlessly?
The question coaches hate
I think there’s a question every coach should be willing to ask themselves… Where am I asking my clients to be braver than I’m willing to be? We ask them to tell the truth. But where are we avoiding ours? We ask them to take responsibility. But who are we still blaming? We ask them to stop repeating old patterns. Which ones are we still repeating? We ask them to forgive. Who are we still angry with? We ask them to stop allowing their past to dictate their future. But what from OUR past are we still carrying around today? That doesn’t mean you need to have a perfect life to be a great coach. Far from it. But I do believe you need to be willing to go where you ask your clients to go. Because authenticity as a coach isn’t pretending you’ve got everything figured out. It’s being willing to do your own work. Again. And again. And again. So before you join me for my live Masterclass… Heal The Past: How To Stop Resentment Monday 7th September 6pm UK | 1pm EST I want you to think about one question… What am I still carrying that I tell other people to put down? Bring that answer with you. This might be a very different session for you if you do. Click here to join me live

@Shameca Kelley on the same journey girl ✨👏 I come from a dysfunctional family doomed with mental illnesses ( my father was a covert narcissist and my sister suffers from squizophrenia + my mother was an unhappy woman in an unhappy marriage and nurtured resentment+ negative thinking her whole life) so I ended up being wired to negative thinking as well. Being training my brain for over 5 years and I guess its a never ending training 🤣✨ By the way, I posted here yesterday a great coaching exercise that helps with exactly what you mentioned here in this post - rewire negative thinking from past experiences ...will link my post here so you can check it out 💜

Sharing here a wonderful Coaching exercise to apply to rewire negative thinking or victim mentality
Hello Everyone! Thought about sharing an amaaazing coaching exercise I learned during a coaching training 💜 It's called "Doors closed, doors open" and it's perfect to apply/add to your coaching toolkit and for yourself as well :) It teaches us to reflect on our past experiences while opening space to new and more positive perspectives on negative things that have happened in our lives/our clients' lives... Here the step-by-step on how to apply this technique + some self-reflection questions you can use with your clients/yourself! Hope you find it useful ✨ Doors Closed Doors Open Think about a time in your life when someone rejected you or you missed out on something important or when a big plan collapsed. These would be points in your life where a door closed. Now think about what happened after that: What doors opened after? What would have never happened if the first door didn’t close? Write down these experiences in the spaces below (write as many experiences as possible that come to mind). The door that closed on me was: ...... The new door that opened for me was: ...... Now, reflect upon your experiences and respond to the following questions: ▪ What led to the door closing? What helped you open the new door? ▪ How long did it take you to realize that a new door was open? ▪ Was it easy or hard for you to realize that a new door was open? ▪ What prevented you from seeing the new open door? ▪ What can you do next time to recognize the new opportunity sooner? ▪ What were the effects of the door closing on you? Did it last long? ▪ Did the experience bring anything positive? ▪ Which character strengths did you use in this exercise? ▪ What does a closed door represent to you now? ▪ What did you learn from the door closing? ▪ Is there more room for growth from these types of experiences? ▪ Is there a closed door that you still wish to see open? Now think of all the people who have helped you open doors in the past: What did they do to help you? And what could you do to help others?
Introducing myself🖐️
Hello @Ed JC Smith and everyone in the community! So happy to be here alongside y'all :) A huge thank you to @Celyn Joinson Joinson for inviting me into the community here :) I am a personal growth/self-help book ghostwriter and have been on a personal growth journey since 2018, after self-healing from severe depression due to a traumatic divorce and mid-life crisis. In the past 3 years, I started nurturing this calling into life coaching, more specifically, inner narrative coaching -as this is my greatest challenge of all: train my own brain to success and rewrite my destiny by reprogramming the way I talk to myself. I am still in the very first steps of building my online coaching business + creating my signature offer mastermind + creating a personal brand online, so I know I have a long way to go still, but I am really passionate about all of it ♥️
