Im am running 100% on faith! God put my wife and I in this house on this land (2yrs of praying and searchjng). I 100% trust His plan. That has allowed me to work on things i never would have thought to try even a few years ago! Build a pole barn by hand; check! Clear several acres of trees for a garden; check! Only God! I have zero doubt God is leading us and getting us ready for tough times.

Great topic! My dad was a very successful man in a lot of ways. In business, in whole he appeared to be and what he stood for. I realized recently that I had been trying to chase my image of him as a man, but didn't really know who I wanted/should be. After him and mom passed we ended up moving into their house and unwittingly I started to become more and more like him, almost picking up where he left off! What I realized was that was not me and honestly I didn't want it to be me! Its sad, but im closing on 60 and just now starting to build the strong foundation of me of who I really am. The 2nd position Barry speaks of is where I was and was like fitting a round peg in an oval hole. I know who I want to be like, Christ. But im learning who that is in my skin. Like Barry said love motorcycles, that feeling of just rolling on the road is awesome. BUT, without my wife riding along its just not as awesome. I love being in the woods, hunting, walking, talking with God. That speaks to my soul these days! Whether I bag the target of the hunt or not, being in direct contact with the world God created just takes the worst day and makes it right. Hanging out with my family is the final missing piece. It could be the worst day and hanging out with my sons in law or grand kids/kids , my wife puts things right. Great topic! Thanks for opening that discussion.
