A Session From Today: From Confusion → Clarity → Stillness
Today’s 1:1 was a powerful example of how I work. We began in the Assessment phase. They came in confused and unsure which direction to move forward with their courses this year. On top of that, they felt blocked from even doing their regular meditation practice. There was friction everywhere. When we slowed down, it became clear they weren’t indecisive. They were in an internal conflict. Two parts pulling. Two parts pushing. Each convinced they were right. Causing an internal struggle beyond intense. We moved into Unfolding work at a process depth. They began describing the energetic flow in their body, the tensions, the constrictions, the churn. The conflict intensified. At one point it was so strong they literally had a trash can ready because they felt like they might vomit. Instead of solving it cognitively, we grounded. I guided them into deeper contact with their core body as they were not fully connected to the experience. We did some breathe work to actually increase some of the sensaions. Attention dropped downwards into their core. Energy started to stabilize. And then they touched a deeper depth of Presence. There was a flash of clarity at first, I picked up on this and noticed we were at this deeper depth. Then it opened into something quieter. Stillness. Expanded. Upright. They said their body felt broader, spacious, time had disappeared. When we ended, they couldn’t believe 40 minutes had passed. From that space, we returned to Improving Results. The decision that felt confusing at the beginning was now obvious. We did not force it, we did not talk about it, it came from the deeper wisdom within. And something even more beautiful happened. Instead of forcing themselves into a rigid meditation routine they were going to start meditating based on what felt right for them in that moment. I sensed that this was a playful opportunity for them. Every hour for 5 hours this evening and each day this week, they’ll intentionally reconnect to that quality of Presence to stabilize it. Stillness, fullness. This is what we call memory reconsolidation, revisiting the new state so the nervous system encodes it as the new baseline. This helps us embody these qualities and rewire our brains according to neuroscience.
