I've read you shouldn't be using IR light after workout as your muscles have little tears in them and IR stimulates scar tissue creation. This does not apply for natural sunlight, right? Does light intensity play a role here?
I've not heard that Maria. Thinking logically, if exercise (some sort of resistance training) works because it tears muscle fibres which then are dealt with naturally with an inflammatory response, I guess you wouldn't want to time your red/NIR exposure on that spot - because red/NIR is supposed to decrease inflammatory responses. But, that's just a hypothesis. For sure, in my experience, red/NIR exposure is great for injuries - reducing pain as well as inflammation and speeding up healing.
