Creator Breakthrough Series
Hey everyone! I know many of you want to grow on YouTube but can’t yet afford my coaching β€” and honestly, that tugs at my heart a bit. So… in a moment of slight insanity πŸ˜… I’ve decided to create a 30-day foundational series β€” with daily long-form videos released on YouTube β€” all focused on helping you start and grow your channel from the ground up. The problem with learning from random YouTube videos is that the information is never in order. This series will be step-by-step and sequential, so you can actually follow a clear path to building your channel the right way. As a thank you for being part of this tribe and supporting my channel, I’m going all in β€” posting one full video every single day for 30 days straight starting on Monday, November 17th. I’m also planning to create a companion workbook so you can fill it out as you go, stay accountable, and track your progress. What do you think β€” would you follow along?

This sounds like an incredible resource! I'm always trying to do too many things at once instead of growing slowly, so a set of lessons in order would be amazing.
Something that helped me stop feeling invisible on YouTube
I used to spend hours making videos I really cared about… but after posting, it felt like no one saw them. No comments, no real engagement β€” just silence. Recently, I tried one small change that actually made a difference: I started creating each video for one specific person, not β€œeveryone.” Instead of asking β€œWill people like this?” I started asking β€œWho really needs this right now?” It changed how I titled my videos, how I spoke, even how I edited. And slowly, people started commenting things like β€œWow, this is exactly what I needed.” Just wanted to share that β€” sometimes we don’t need a big strategy, just a small shift in how we see our audience. Anyone else tried something similar that made your content connect better?

This is a great tip! I'd love to hear more about how you made the change. Could you share before and after examples?

@Marcus Eden ah that seems so simple but the shift is huge. Thanks for that example!
1 week in! Posted first three videos!
I'm an over-50 musician, and I've been planning to start a YouTube channel for almost 2 years. Lots of planning, researching, planning, thinking, planning, and more planning lol! And I finally bit the bullet and posted a week ago. My stats are small, but I'm so proud I FINALLY FINALLY did it! My channel is for midlife musicians who want to explore the many options out there in today's digital music landscape. I help them overcome fear of tech, of starting something new, of exploring outside the world of gigging and teaching. This is the journey I, myself, took starting in 2020 when I signed up for a course on how to write music for TV shows. I was terrified and hardly knew what I was doing. 5 years later, I have my music signed with 11 music agencies and I've had my music placed 56 times on TV networks around the world. So I'm hoping to help fellow musicians overcome their hesitation to TRY SOMETHING NEW! I haven't been active in this community because I started feeling like a fraud, just lurking and not posting. But I'm so happy to say that I can join the ranks of all of you who are doing it! Here is my channel if you want to check it out! I would love feedback! https://www.youtube.com/@ClassicalCreatives/featured

Music channel(s) - 1 or 2? 🎢🎻🎧
Hi all! I am ready to post my first videos but I’m stuck on a channel question. Should I have one or two channels? I’m a classically-trained musician who writes and produces music for TV shows and custom music clients. I learned music production in my late 40’s and it changed my life! I want to do two things with my content: 1. Inspire musicians over the age of 40 to learn music production to get out of a music rut, and 2. Build my personal music brand to attract more clients. There aren’t many examples of channels that are musician artist branding AND education. Should I post the music content (videos of my produced music and showing my music production process) on one channel and the education/inspirational content (talking head, tips on how to learn production and side hustle ideas) on another? Or blend them together? I think the education audience will enjoy the artist content, but inspirational videos directed to the over 40 crowd may be distracting for music fans and potential commission clients?

@Healthy Practices Healthier You thank you! Yes, I am torn because I want to earn money sooner rather than later and I believe my 40+ musician education content will open up more doors for monetization, but I think the educational content will be stronger once I have established my artist brand. So I think I will focus on that for now and then add the educational content a bit later.
