So I passed my one year of being on Skool every day and creating at least 10 activities a day to get a green square. Why does this matter? Well it doesn't in the grand scheme of things, and many people create successful businesses on Skool without these little green squares. But it does matter to me. I love being unfoccussed. Chasing after the next thing. Starting on a new platform. In fact one of my skills is starting things. However, that has to be balanced with focus and this is what the green squares have meant. Turning up when I didn't feel like it. Finding ways of doing the minimum without going down a rabbit hole. Networking with amazing people that help grow my business, and my knowledge. To me the little green square is a tracking device. Yes I can choose not to show up. And yes I can choose to show up. It reminds me to check in with what's important. 𝗜'𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲?

Work or pleasure? We’re off to a birthday 🎁 celebration in London for Rabbi Shaul Rosenblatt. I’m excited because I get to see my lovely friend Chana (his wife). Later I’ll do my planning for the week.

I've just heard that my good friend and colleague Lady Val Corbett died in her sleep last night. For those that don't know, Lady Val was a force of nature - she started the Corbett Network in honour of her husband Lord Corbett who was a amazing advocate for prison reform. She has been gathering organisations that support prisoner rehabilitation ever since. She also ran a ladies' lunch once a quarter for professional women, and the profits all went towards the Corbett Network. I was honoured to be a volunteer helper at her events. Lady Val wrote a testimonial for my book Wing of an Angel and was a great supporter of Beyond Recovery, the social enterprise I ran for ten years. She also had Derrick and Omar as speakers at one of her events.
