One thing that amazes me about Shawn how all of his recordings and most of his live stuff seem so perfect. Like he just can't hit a wrong note. I feel like I can play nearly as fast as Shawn Lane, but not as cleanly, clearly, and intentionally as him. Especially with the subtle bends with the tremolo. To me now seeing Shawn really manipulate the individual tones. After seeing him use it expertly, I don't consider a guitar without a tremolo a to be a "real" guitar. It would kinda be like having a piano with no pedals, and it really limits the expressive range
