Roundabouts
Whats your go to when teaching roundabouts? How do you make it simple to do? Do you have issues teaching them? If you could give yourself one bit of advice that would have helped in your early days, what would it have been?

Slow it down, for the first few attempts just rolling toward the roundabout. In the early days I dont think I properly examined how I did them as an experienced driver, how many small glances in different directions I made, moving my head. Subconsciously letting the waiting traffic clear so I had a rolling approach. So satisfying when it clicks with the learner.

My Kilmacolm pupil defo had that, the more little errors she did on her assessment drive the faster she got! Had to break the snowball effect and stopped her for a chat.

My plan is to ask more short questions to give my mouth ulcers a chance to heal!

Keeping the agreement, it seems to be the hardest thing for me, I either forget to shut up or forget to help whem I should. Seeing the dr about my poor sleep patterns but sure my untidy brain is the biggest contributor 😬🙄🤯

@Corey Walker so segmentation of the lesson into smaller bites. Careful route planning so there's no snowball effect. Keeping the focus, yes I like that 👌
Debrief
Whats your thoughts on josh's debrief? Could we have added anything in? Was it encouraging? Did the lesson show that josh had progressed? Did josh feel more confident? Was a plan set? Was anything outside our goal an issue for josh?

It shows that the pupil will quite often refer first to the part of the lesson with the highest level of help and often not realise "I did that bit myself! " Yes shows progress, roadmap for further progress and building on success fron this lesson.
