Comedy Film Lab Starts Monday!
A huge congratulations to @Rob Simone @Giorgio Zingone and @Troy Parker for joining the MasterCrash Comedy Film Lab!! David and the whole MasterCrash team are super excited to help you make your comedy short film. Today, I was at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, supporting a friend's short film. His film "Legend Has it" was brilliant. Well written and perfectly paced. The comedy was delivered completely deadpan. The script was tight, and the characters specific and well-defined. It was shown last in its block and was the clear audience favorite, with laughs filling the theater for the duration of the film. It left us all on a high, and we couldn't stop talking about how great it was. That's the power of a well-crafted script. It's no surprise that my friend who wrote that script has been studying David's scripts for decades. He's a script doctor who has read and fixed thousands of scripts. All the short films leading up to his film, however, made me feel a mixture of sadness and encouragement. Sadness, because so many of them could have been saved in the script phase with rewrites. Encouraged, because it made me realize how important the work we do here is, and how valuable the Comedy Film Lab is. There is no mentorship program out there like the MasterCrash Comedy Film Lab. No place where you can get access to a David Zucker level director to help you write and direct your comedy short film. Imagine spending 4 hours in a writers room with David, working on your script. And then having a whole production team producing your film. And having directors guiding you on set. And a professional post team, editing and mastering your film. We know that it's almost too good to be true. But it is true. And it's available to you, at least this one time. A few days ago, Rob asked me if we'd offer this again. I said that I don't know. I genuinely don't... The truth is that with David's upcoming film schedule, we may not be able to offer the Comedy Film Lab again. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity that only a very few of you get to experience.

Congrats! fellow Lampooners and Spoofers, for the time for Yucks is nigh, may we rise to meet this watershed moment and with the reflection and input of the vast talents that make up this entire group, we can hope to make this a Cambrian explosion of Comedy.
Naked Comedy Dream Guest
Being able to listen in on and participate in the Naked Comedy recordings has been one of the many highlights of this course, and it’s got me thinking, “Who would be my ‘dream guest’?” With the long list of people David has worked with over the years, there’s one name that keeps popping in my head, and that’s Kelsey Grammer. A true class act, an absolute legend, and one of the great comedic geniuses. Sitting in on a conversation with David and Kelsey would be incredible. Just throwing this out there if Naked Comedy takes requests…

A writing partner and I wrote an ambitious action/adventure sci-fi film about weather modification, 15 years ago. It was looked upon favorably by W. Morris and CAA... it kicked around the town, no offers. When "Geostorm" (2017) came out we thought our script may have softened the ground for it,... we are looking at a re-write for streaming.
Did you guy see...
... What we quietly dropped into the Classroom... 🤔

WOWZA... it's like the Dead Sea Scrolls of comedy... and Stephen Stucker, We hardly knew Ye.
The Genius of ZAZ
Do you know how you can prove that ZAZ were and still our comedy geniuses? The Kentucky Fried Movie is going on 50 years old, and it’s still hilarious and way funnier than most of the stuff that’s out currently today. 🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣
