Anyone from the uk starting the 6 week course
Hi - if there is anyone here in the community from the Uk ( I’m from kent - not that it matters ) I’d love to connect doing the 6 week course .
Decision Fatigue
Sometimes I don’t think I’m tired from doing too much. I think I’m tired from deciding too much. What should I start? Which thing matters most? Should I finish this first? Where should this go? Do I answer now or later? A whole day of tiny decisions can feel strangely exhausting. If completed, a small win. Yea! But in what order? Do you simplify choices on purpose or have you found another way to reduce decision fatigue?

Hi Shawn- I’m so with you on this type of fatigue which in turn makes me do none of it and I just feel paralysed and anxious !! I have endless lists and to do notebooks and I feel my list just gets longer and longer … I am starting the 6 week course so I’m hoping will help change my thoughts and emotions to help deal with this- are you joining the course ?

@David McCarthy please talk positively to yourself … This is a big step - it’s unfortunate that you can’t do the 6 week course however there are so many tools with the challenge that you can continue to work on and perfect …the morning and evening routines are a fabulous great start - maybe You can find an accountabitliy partner to support you in your actions …. You can do this!

@Heather Jensen yes I learnt something about my child hood that I never realized was adhd !!
Enlightenment after yesterdays call
After listening to yesterdays call and Q&A I realised that my adhd was apparent when I was younger - I hadn’t really thought about it much before but there is certainly a pattern of leaving studying til the last minute - always striving to do the best always even though I never really got praise it was always just assumed - but I always wanted to do well for my parents - I wanted them to be happy … I realize now I really struggle with accepting praise because I wasn’t used to getting it when I was a child ….i don’t have many childhood memories but I do remember this … I have had realised many things during this challenge one of the main ones is that that nervous system regulation is my biggest problem and also that I really Struggle with stillness and feeling like I deserve to relax. I also know if I don’t do anything now I will never change and I really want to as it’s affecting my life and my busienss and my relationship. I have really enjoyed this challenge so far … thank you so much Jim for your kindness and time you have spent this week sharing your knowledge and experience.
