The painted lines
This week I walked past a school and saw something that stopped me. Painted lines on the ground. Straight lines, so the kids would know exactly where to stand while they waited for school to start. One behind the other. I’ll be honest, it bothered me, because I know where that comes from. Bells that tell you when to move. Desks in rows. Raise your hand to talk. Raise your hand to use the bathroom. Line up for lunch. That system was built for the factory days. It was built to make good employees. Stay in line. Do what you’re told. Don’t ask questions. Here’s the problem. When we do that long enough, we stop being curious. We stop exploring. We start to believe the way things are is the way they have to stay. I know, because I lived it. I worked on Wall Street. I saved every penny. I did everything I was “supposed” to do and if I had kept standing in that line, I never would have walked away from my paycheck to build something of my own with Nadia. I wouldn’t be here writing you. What changed? I got curious. I started asking, “Is this really the only way?” So here’s my challenge for you this week. Look at the things you do just because “that’s how it’s always been done.” Then ask yourself: ✔️ Does this still serve me? ✔️ Has anything changed? ✔️ Is there a better way? Maybe it’s buying things on credit. Maybe it’s waiting until 65 to retire. Maybe it’s a money belief you picked up as a kid and never questioned. You don’t know what you don’t know until you go looking. Curiosity is what gets you looking. When you question an old idea, you just might find a better answer to a problem you thought you were stuck with. That’s what I want for my children and it’s what I want for you. You don’t have to stand in the line someone else painted for you. Stay curious. 💛 Nicole P.S. What’s one “line” you’ve been standing in that you’re ready to question? Drop it in the comments. 👇🏾

Wow, great way of looking at our need to make change. Does this still serve me/us? Is there a better way? How can I put what I've learned to practice? Time to move towards bettering our condition versus doing what has always been done, regardless if it benefits us or not! Fortunately, I have the ability to put most of these practices in place in my professional life. As an educator my mission is to nurture the intellectual, creative, and emotional potential of every child in a community dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and social justice. Unfortunately, this is not the mission of all schools. I'm doing my part to create thinkers and doers AND educate myself about finances along the way.

@LaToia T 💯I agree! Mental and physical health is just as important. As @Elfreda Love said, "We can have it all." 💜
Opps! I just realized something🫢
Hi VIP members, I just realized one of the documents ( Account cheat sheet from the June meeting recording) was on the wrong sharing settings. I have updated the link and now if you click on it in the classroom, it will open for you. I'm sorry for realizing this late. Here is the link to the classroom. https://www.skool.com/wealthpack/classroom/ee81084f?md=38af2ef50a19423493ea1f26c58f3e07

There’s a NEW way to grow your retirement savings
Most high-saving professionals leave their money in savings accounts or hand it over to a financial advisor and hope for the best. The problem with this is you have no real control, your money barely grows, and you’re dependent on someone else to protect your future. The new way is The Flexible Capital Strategy. This is superior because instead of letting your savings sit in low-yield accounts, The Flexible Capital Strategy uses a bridge account to supercharge your savings, generate accessible passive income, and run completely on autopilot. No penalties. No high fees. No financial advisor required. We retired at 34, built $10K+/month in passive income, and achieved 22% portfolio returns over the last 3 years using this exact approach. We’ve helped complete beginners go from knowing nothing about investing to building their own portfolios and achieving 20%+ returns. Stop leaving your money on the table. Start investing in a way that actually protects your retirement. Want to know more? Comment NEW and we’ll personally reach out.
