Yesterday's smoke session in the Stogie Clubhouse is how you cap off the end off a good weekend. ​I fired up the Plasencia Alma del Cielo. This high-altitude Nicaraguan puro brings smooth complexity to the palate —think marzipan and honey sweetness balanced by that signature cedar and light pepper. To elevate the session, I paired it with Blackland Texas Whiskey. The bold Texas character and smooth finish acted as the perfect bridge for the cigar’s medium-bodied profile. Make it a good one like this one from Partagas. While attending the Ultimate Whisky Experience last night a good friend says we should go light up a Cigar. The event was ending anyway. We had to walk a while to find a spot that would allow us to enjoy and she pulled this out for me! Really not sure if it was the Whisky buzz, the amazing dueling pianos, the company of the evening or that Cigar however the moment capped off a fabulous evening!
