Only managed a 5 on Monday so far this week, but gonna get a 10 in later after work, Parkrun tomorrow, then 10 minimum on Sunday! Challenges / obstacles - life and weather/darkness!

Hi all, I’m Rich 👋 I’m 38, live just outside of Glasgow in Scotland and have just joined the group. I have ran on and off for 6/7 years and always enjoyed it massively but struggled to be consistent. I used to use running as extra training alongside Muay Thai training but I am not really able to train Thai boxing anymore, due to general commitments between work and home. I’ve found running is the perfect exercise to fit around my busy-ish schedule and something I genuinely enjoy so much! I feel the back end of this year has been the most consistent I’ve been with running and I’ve been quite ambitious with goals and achieving them. I started going along to my local parkrun event on Saturday mornings in August and I’ve hardly missed one since. They have been a game changer, keeping me accountable and consistent. I introduced longer runs at either side of the parkruns and I’ve achieved so much and feel great! I now have my heart set on doing a few races next year as I’ve never done one before and can only imagine what a buzz it is! Thanks for having me here guys and I look forward to getting to know you all! Rich
