My advice for 2026 if you feel overwhelmed.
We are currently in the middle of a tech boom. This era we currently sit in will be the moment in tech where people look back and see it as the "golden" time to start an AI startup. These moments are not perpetual; rather, they come in waves. Therefore, with this perspective in mind, here is what I would suggest. Focus. As you know, with the AI news cycle there always seems to be a new shiny object to play around with or a new idea. The winners during this boom will follow 3 simple steps: 1. Become exceptionally good at using 1 tool to build out the rest. 2. Have willingness to learn and be open-minded. 3. Have 1 goal and execute on it for years. If you are finding yourself overwhelmed or have a lack of direction, Here is a simple thought experiment that will help. Take out a piece of paper and write down the top 25 things you want to do in life. Once you list them all out, rank the top 5. The top 5 are non-negotiable; you have to see them through. Perfect. Now delete the bottom 20 from your brain. Those bottom 20 are the most dangerous as they distract your ability to actually achieve the top 5. It takes years. Then once it comes, it feels like a boulder rolling down a steep hill. I am 26. But I have had enough experience to know how long it takes to build out a real business. Therefore, when I start a company like techsnif, I know in my head I won't see a penny from the business for 2 years. But I planted the seed. Stop planting seeds and then moving over to plant another. Focus.

Takes a minimum of 5 years to be an overnight success...

@Steven Holley Well, I am 70 and I will just have to take a punt on that. You could also get hit by a bus tomorrow.
I built a tech news site that doesn't suck
Why does every tech news site look like it was built on WordPress in 2010? Paywalls. Popups. Ads everywhere. 5 minutes just to get one update. So I built something better. Every tech story in 60 seconds. Clean UI. No paywall. No fluff. Just launched: https://techsnif.com/

Nice looking site.
what is moltbot? is it just hype?
I am currently running tests. I am forking moltbot and creating an AI called Ares. Ares itself, in theory, will be able to build any software. If you are familiar with my content, I don’t just jump on the bandwagon when it comes to updates in the space. The last real time I felt there was something groundbreaking in the space was Cursor 2.0 with parallel agents. I mean, we saw me create Thumio with this tech as 1 developer, which now sits at 220K lines of code and is pulling in real income. Therefore, why moltbot and why now? Moltbot did a massive unlock in the space. We can now run models 24/7 with no user input. Before I jump the gun, I will conduct my test. What I can say, though, is that this genuinely might be end game. I have purchased a Mac Studio for the hardware that is required to see Ares’ max potential. https://x.com/corbin_braun/status/2016363609476235741?s=20

Glad to hear you are testing it Corbin. I was going to get on the train yet again until I remembered the pioneers are the ones with the arrows in their backs. I look forward to learning its nuances from someone with far more knowledge in the area than I have. I won't be buying a Mac studio though, but will run it on a VPS to create the airgap. It's the provision of access to my Google drive that I am uncertain of at present.
Develop a Persona for use in Obsidian Smart Connections
This workflow development has been a real eye opener in how AI can help you develop systems that would defy personal abilities. From initial concept to successful deployment, Gemini took my plain English prompts and converted them to Python scripts, terminal commands and other copy and paste artifacts. It took my 4000 notes from Obsidian and developed a personal profile for a system prompt. You can read my article on Substack and download the report on how you can also achieve it via the Google link.

AntiGravity
I have just completed the transfer of another app from Replit to Antigravity. That was the easy part and the necessary files were automatically built and changed. The deployment to Firebase hosting was where I hit a big wall. Despite using a couple of models, I hit my credit limit. This morning though the breakthrough finally occurred and the site is now live. I will look at pointing to my domain next. The main point here is that as a non-coder watching Antigravity work was absolutely fascinating. The skill of professionals must be deep and take years to learn to reach that standard. The great thing is I can look forward to Antigravity just getting better and better. I can focus on ideas and UIs rather than the technical backend coding.
