1939 Ford Truck Update
Finally finish welded the exhaust for my truck. Most of the connections are V-band joints. I machined a heat sink out of aluminum to keep the V-band flanges from warping. It's just a puck with a relief for the lip on the male side, a small hole for the back purge argon to flow out of, and a 3-bolt pattern to grab the flange. These welds aren't the best, I'm a little rusty. But they got better as I went. I've fit the exhaust to the truck, and it'll need a little adjustment since there was a little weld distortion, but not too much since I didn't have any gaps. I plan on doing this with the TIG torch, heating where I want shrinkage to be. If anyone has any suggestions on how else to do this, I'd be happy to hear them. Also, here are a few of my favorites from the Grand National Roadster show a couple of weeks ago. I got a lot of inspiration there.

@Kully Millage thank you sir! I'll keep sharing as I go. It's cool to have a place where I can bounce ideas off of some knowledgeable people. I saw some really cool details at that show. I believe those were original lobster claw brakes. The craftsmanship on that car was excellent.
