I discovered Jooba School through YouTube and decided to sign up for 1-to-1 lessons to be able to improvise freely like Jaco does in his videos. As a complete beginner, I couldn’t be happier with that decision. The teaching format is excellent. Jaco has multiple cameras positioned around the guitar so you can clearly see exactly how he’s holding and playing it. After every lesson, he also sends a follow-up video summarising what we learnt and what to practise in the coming weeks — a real lifesaver when you're just starting out and don't always know where to focus. I also feel like his lessons have changed the way I experience music in general. Every time I listen to a song now, I find myself paying attention to the guitar parts in a way I never did before - so it’s made both listening to and playing music so much more enjoyable. More than anything, his lessons have helped me appreciate each note and realise how much you can do with even a single chord… truly inspiring! Two months in, I’m very happy with my progress. I honestly never feel like I have to practise - I just pick up the guitar because I want to! Thank you Jaco!
