Welcome to The Practice of Becoming Circle
I’m really glad you’re here. This space was created for women who feel that quiet pull inside that says there must be more to life than simply drifting through routines. Many of us spend years doing what needs to be done for work, family, responsibilities and everyone else. Somewhere along the way we lose connection with ourselves and the direction we truly want to move in. The Practice of Becoming is about gently changing that. Not through pressure or perfection, but through awareness, reflection and small intentional steps forward. Inside this circle we’ll explore things like: • recognising where we may be drifting • building habits and routines that support the life we want • strengthening identity and self-trust • learning how to pause, reset and realign when life pulls us off course Most importantly, this is a supportive space where women can share honestly, reflect and grow together. To start things off I’d love to hear from you: ✨ What made you join the circle? Or if you're still exploring: ✨ What area of life are you currently wanting to change or become more intentional about? If you're exploring where to begin, you can start with the Drift Audit inside the Classroom tab. It’s a simple reflection to help you see where life may have quietly drifted onto autopilot. I’m really looking forward to growing this space together. 🤍Renee

@Fiona Lane Hi Fiona, thank you for sharing that with us. What a beautiful mix of passions. Early childhood teaching, surf lifesaving and being a mum to Ollie sounds like a full and adventurous life. I love that you’re someone who nurtures young minds while also serving your community and embracing the ocean. So happy you’re here in The Practice of Becoming. Out of curiosity, what drew you to join this community?

Welcome to the Practice of Becoming Circle, @Tracie Bale 💗 So lovely to have you here! Really glad you’ve joined us and I’m looking forward to sharing this space with you.
A question for the circle
If you paused for a moment today and reflected honestly, where in life do you feel most intentional right now? And where do you feel you might be drifting a little? No right or wrong answers here. Just reflection.

I’ll go first. Right now I feel most intentional with my awareness of my thoughts. I’ve become much better at catching when my mind starts drifting into frustration or old patterns and gently bringing myself back into alignment. Where I still notice a little drift sometimes is in trying to juggle too many things at once. Life can get busy and it’s easy to slip into reacting instead of directing. That’s part of the practice though… noticing it sooner and returning to intention.

What do I mean by “drifting”?
One of the ideas we explore in this community is something I call drifting. Drifting rarely looks dramatic. It doesn’t arrive with a big crisis or an obvious turning point. Most of the time it happens quietly. A day where we ignore the small voice telling us something needs to change. A week where we promise ourselves we’ll think about it later. A year where life slowly becomes routine instead of intention. Drifting isn’t about failure or laziness. In fact, most people who are drifting are incredibly responsible. They are working, caring for others, managing life and doing everything that needs to be done. But somewhere along the way they stop asking themselves an important question: Is the direction I’m living aligned with the life I actually want? The moment we begin asking that question again is often the moment direction begins to return. I’d love to hear from you. Have you ever had a moment where you realised you might have been drifting?
