I met a placement agent at an event. She had approached me and said she was impressed with what I’ve been able to create with my company and was interested in partnering. Of course I said yes. Fast forward to today: we have a stand up at this skilled nursing facility at 830. I show up 815 with fresh coffee from Starbucks-2 giant containers. The place is a ghost town. I have to walk around the whole building with two things of coffee to a back door in the rain and high heels. Go to the nursing station and the stand up isn’t until 930. I call the placement agent about the confusion. She laughs it off. I ask her where she is-20 mins away. Now an hour later and she’s still not here and we are supposed to be presenting in 15 mins. She was also late on our first meeting too. I’m so beyond annoyed.

Hello everyone! So I made a list of placement agents to email using the websites Mariam shared here in the group but I hadn’t reached out yet. Yesterday I was a vendor at senior resource fair in my area, I met three of the people I had on my list to email to introduce myself and my business in person! One was so excited too meet me, you’d think we were long lost best friends😂. If Mariam hadn’t shared those sites, They wouldn’t have been on my list to contact. The best part was being able to connect face-to-face instead of just through email. Mariam, I truly appreciate all the valuable info and support you bring to this group! I had my first official client. I’ve been getting all my clients from placement agents and today was the first client I closed all by myself. They came to us through referral and reputation so honestly it wasn’t a hard sale but I definitely broke through some of my limiting beliefs around being a salesperson. Getting pizza to celebrate my win. 🥇
