Rawl's Question Answered
You can consciously want change and still feel like something inside you hasn’t caught up yet. That’s where Sankalpa can become such a powerful part of Yoga Nidra. A Sankalpa is often translated as an intention or resolve, but it goes deeper than a typical affirmation. It is a heart-led declaration that reflects something you already know, or are beginning to recognize, as true at your core. It can sound like: ‘I am safe.’ ‘I am enough.’ ‘I trust.’ ‘I choose peace.’ ‘I allow support.’ ‘I return to myself.’ During Yoga Nidra, the mind becomes deeply receptive. Repeating your Sankalpa in this state can help reinforce new beliefs and patterns beneath the surface, especially when your conscious mind knows you want change but older subconscious conditioning is still running the show. You do not have to use an 'I am' statement. Your Sankalpa can begin with 'I am,' 'I choose,' 'I trust,' 'I allow,' 'I welcome,' or simply 'I.' The words matter less than the truth beneath them. Choose something simple. Something you can return to. Something that feels like a deeper remembering rather than a performance. @Rawl O'Neal
I have a quasi-obsession with verbal Truth; that tailored utterance underneath it all, that frees the knot or⛓️‍💥 tightens it to death...🔗 Words have a powerful impact, whileTruth is perspective.
@Miranda de Haan ...do not want to intrude, was just wandering by... I am 'flourishing' or 'flowering'...sounds opening and creative and yet beyond both🪷
Boojumin Is Still Bloomin
I can relate to a Boojum. Sometimes I feel my growth is slow, erratic yet purposeful, in a harsh and (spiritually) arid environment. A Boojum tree thrives in the arid Sonoran desert, growing in all kinds of funky positions very slowly as it reaches up. And blooming every season.
Boojumin Is Still Bloomin
Ah! the Sonoran 🏜 desert I left behind... That arid space, full of life, is an eternal presence in my heart and soul... Thank you Rawl, for this memento .
Coffee nidra ☕️ ?
Every once in a while I like to take a nice "coffee nap". For those who haven't heard of such a thing: https://www.sleepfoundation.org/sleep-hygiene/coffee-nap Anyone tried combining this with a yoga nidra session? I'd be interested to hear your experiences!
Steve, sometimes when I have a headache, or a circling inconvenient mood in the middle of the night, instead of a pain killer, I open the windows, look at the stars, make a fresh small coffee or espresso and go back to bed: it never failed me. Counter intuitive? Perhaps, but it does work for certain individuals.
It is almost READY... What do you remember?!
What was the highlight for you!? Also watch the VIDEO! It's not too late.
It is almost READY... What do you remember?!
Hey Ayla! Call confirmed; 11 PM tonight, my time. Looking forward to it!♡
Day 4 | States of Rest
Today, we dropped into the Dreamweaver (Dream State). What dream are you calling into this moment and what is one inspired action, one honest and small step you can take today so you can make today!? I am holding you accountable here!
Day 4 | States of Rest
@Gina Guthrie ...when I am not able to tune in , like today, I go straight to stillness mode...and I do not even move my eyes for 3//5' mns... it usually 'cleans the slate'...
@Ruud van Stralen Listening is big!...do it with all your senses; that's the way to create synergy, I've wired myself to talk and listen deeply, a paradox it seems, but when we really focus in the present moment, we generate momentum with an opportune subject, and a miracle happens: you have now 2 talking listeners interested in each other! To be passively listening only is dense; timely interjection is of essence! And...reading in full présence has the same dynamic; and we all have a great chance here, to do that.
