flexible resin
Hello Guys Do you guys in the states have a flexible resin or self leveling Epoxy ? Can people check this out and tell me what you think? I’ve been working closely with a manufacturer to make a flexible resin and also a Damp proof membrane that is not only able to bond to wet surfaces but also has a great bonding strength

Own brand epoxy
I was having problems finding a supplier for epoxy with a decent price for quality product. I ended up coming across a company that manufactures some products that I can also White label. Initially I simply looking for quality supplier that I could buy a pallet load from to get some discount. It's made me consider looking at creating my own brand. Am I nuts to consider it. There is so much red tape and extra coat getting product from England to Northern Ireland and it's only a 30min flight. So it's made me look at some alternatives and I can't be the only person that is having issues. I wouldn't mind your opinions on the idea. Thanks in advance.

Hello Guys @Philip Reilly @Alvis Ciritis Yeah no problem , I’ve been in your shoes Philip , I’m happy to pass you on to the materials I’ve found best here . Alvis is right, that may be a little bit too much when your first starting out, there’s a lot of learning the hard way . I had to reach out to the one and only @Jeremy Redig the other day for advice ! But this is a good community with people that want to help. Anything you need just let me know. Cheers guys
Epoxy flake system drains
Hello all . I’ve just complete a 550m2 flake floor in a swimming pools changing rooms. We were initially asked to leave a 4-5 mm gap under the drains to allow for a sealant to go in there and now the customer has expressed concerns of the water puddling . What would you do? I’ll send you some pictures but I’m thinking of taping off around the perimeter of the drains. Around 200 mm around them, grinding , then use and epoxy SL up the the desired height, then I’ll use poly and flake into that. Thanks for your help mate If anyone else has anything to add please let me Know

@Alvis Ciritis hello Alvis Thanks for your reply. I left a gap, so that the mastic guy had something to stick to, as I was worried about expansion of the drains which are stainless steel and it being a weak joint . Now the client wants it flush without any sealant

Do you guys use levelling compound.
Hello all, Here’s a conflicting issue , I come from a Flooring background , I started studying epoxy resins around six years ago and with a lot of practice and quite a bit of frustration started and Epoxy Resin business around a year ago . With different products, I always consult the manufacturers technical team. We’ve recently started a project where by I’ve had to lay a levelling compound. It’s fibre reinforced, flexible and has compression strength of 30 N plus , I always apply a DPM primer and I always grind, but when I recently spoke to the manufacturing company, they stated that the DPM would easily adhere to the Levelling compound because it’s cementitious and there is no need to grind …. ! what’s everybody else’s thoughts on this? Thanks and regards, Reece
