Working on my first estimate voice agent
As of lately I've been dialed in on creating this voice agent for contractors that they could use as assistant to speed up their estimating work. A simple workflow that questions the user (contractor) on it's current mission and covers essential questions to speed up quoting process. Connected this with VAPI AI that I just learned about, and iterating it until it works flawlessly. (or semi-flawless) for potential clients. Want to get this out and demo running by the end of the week.

@Aidan Finnegan Thanks g. The System prompt is giving specific instructions to go down the line of questions to ask the user in order to gather all the necessary info. I also connected 2 PDFs to the bot for electrical standard references and company policies (PDFs would be altered to contractors liking)
Any Startup Estimate JSON Templates?
Hey guys 👋 hope you all are doing well. Just wondering if anyone has any n8n templates I could use to start to build out these automations

@Aidan Finnegan Thanks man much appreciated! I'm looking for something that is customer-faced based estimate JSON template to work off of. I personally liked your AI instant quoter idea vid. Something like that would be extemely helpful.

Introduction
What’s going on my people, I’m Ray 🫡 I’m from the Boston area and went to a trade high school to study plumbing. After graduating, I got a plumbing job for a few months before getting laid off. Since then I’ve worked a mix of blue collar jobs in manufacturing, assembly, and a bit of electrical work, but it’s been tough finding another plumbing job with the shortage and lack of experience out there. Over time I started realizing I’m more drawn to the technical and entrepreneurial side of things. Lately I’ve been focused on merging my blue collar background with AI and the digital world. Excited to build, share ideas, and connect with you all fr.
Kelley School of Business Student Inspired by the Niche-Down Approach
Hey everyone, My name is Michael Carey, and I'm a junior at the Kelley School of Business, studying Information Systems and Business Analytics. I just wanted to properly introduce myself and thank you for putting this community together. I’ve been following Aidan's YouTube channel for a little while, and his focused approach on the construction industry is exactly what I'm striving for with my own venture, NextGen AI. I started back in July, and I've been doing a lot of custom, one-off automation jobs for various clients. While the hands-on experience has been great, my goal is to pivot towards developing more repeatable, productized solutions. Seeing Aidan's work on AI estimators and quoting agents has been a huge inspiration for making that shift. My background is in the construction industry (my dad is a safety consultant for GCs), so I'm constantly seeing the real-world need for the systems you are making. Excited to learn from you all and would love to connect with others who are making the transition from bespoke services to scalable AI products. Best, Michael Carey
