Hi, I’m Verene! I run three different YouTube channels - none of them is monetized - yet. Sparks of Joy Moto is all about the joy of motorcycling and road trips. I’m still very passionate about it, but I update it less frequently since motorcycle content is quite time-consuming to film and edit. Tråd-Saks-Papir is my creative channel for paper crafts, also updated more occasionally. Right now, my main focus is Kompispraten (iterally translates to ‘Buddy Talk’ in English) a new channel I haven’t published on yet. I’m in my 50s, and this project is about sharing personal experiences, reflections, and takeaways in a way that feels sustainable for me. There is only so much time, and I also have a "real" job that pays my bills. I’m currently batching videos so I can launch with impact. The format is simple: I film at home, write blog posts alongside the videos, and produce in batches to make sure I can publish consistently over time. My long-term goal is to build a path toward public speaking, where YouTube serves as portfolio and building network. Of course it would be great to be monetized as well. I’m really happy I came across Alexa’s videos - and even happier to have found this community to learn and share with. Exited to be here!

A mistake many people make is thinking hooks are difficult to come up with. In reality, the opposite is true: the best-performing hooks are already out there, and they’re surprisingly easy to collect if you know where to look. The secret? 👉 Active consumption. Every single viral video, trending post, or high-performing ad you see already contains a proven hook. Instead of scrolling passively, start paying attention. When you come across a piece of content that instantly grabs your attention, pause and ask yourself: What exactly made me stop? That’s your hook. Here’s a simple process you can use: 1. Watch content with the intention of studying, not just consuming. 2. Write down the opening lines, phrases, or questions that catch your eye. 3. Collect these hooks into a single document or spreadsheet. Over time, you’ll build your own library of hooks you can use whenever you need inspiration.
