Google Chrome extension lets you Sample audio from your browser...
Have you guys ever tried to sample an audio clip, say from a film, and you have to either download the whole movie and rip the audio, or use one of those dodgy online websites to rip Youtube audio (sometimes doesn't work)? This Google Chrome extension called, "Sample," allows you to quickly capture any audio playing from within your browser. The best part is you have control over the start and stop, so you won't have to download any unnecessary audio before you add it to your project. I been using it this week and it's saving me some time, hope it helps you all too! https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sample/kpkcennohgffjdgaelocingbmkjnpjgc?hl=en

Free Retro Audio Sample CD's at the internet archive
I'm looking for new sounds this week and I am somewhat bored of Splice. Come across some great advice online to hunt for classic Sample CD's posted at the internet archive. There are so many free producer resource you have to check it out! As an example, a classic Sample CD production house in the 2000's and on was Zero G samples. Using this search query at the internet archive I found their back catalog and it's a lot! Give it a try or search another classic sample CD brand like AMG, Akai or others. https://archive.org/download/retro-sample-cds https://archive.org/search?query=creator%3A%22Zero-G%22 Happy sample hunting!

Free plugin resources from Airwindows
Hey everyone! Thanks to Ameer for the invitation: I wanted to make my first post informative and useful, so I wanted to share some of the tools that have helped me with my mixes over the past year. Specifically Airwindows. A single developer (Chris Johnson) on a mission to make free plugins that require little to no UI (user interface graphics) to help save power on your CPU and get you to judge using your ears more than your eyes. - Airwindows plugins are absolutely free and open source. The plugin list is extensive, at over 400. They have unique names and their own individual quirks. To help you navigate so many plugins, Chris painstakingly categorized each plugin, its use and function into a library called the, "Airwindowspedia." I will share all resources below but give it a try and let me know which plugins stand out: Website: https://www.airwindows.com/ Airwindows Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/airwindows Airwindowspedia cheat sheet: https://airwindowscheatsheet.aboni.dev/ Some of my favorites are: - Bitshift gain - Dubplate 2 - Ynot Lowpass/highpass - ToTape 6 - Zoutput filter
