Reflections on the Anniversary of My Dawn
On this day, I celebrate the day I was born. Alone in my thinking corner, I ride on the wings of thoughts, I reflect again on the purpose of life, I reflect on why I was born, I reflect on what the world needs that summoned me here I reflect on my visions, missions, vocation, my goals and my aspirations, I reflect on things that are unclear to me, the unknown and incomprehensible I reflect on birth, death, strength, health and wealth, I reflect on fitness, knowledge, social bonds, friendship, family and parenting Mentors, mentees, career, business, finance, spirituality I reflect on The grandeur of heavens, earth's silent vitality The ageless trees of the woods, the oceans and all they contain I reflect on angels, the Divine Word, praise and thanksgiving, God the father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and his voice. I reflect on what I have missed, those and what I have lost. If we have lost anything, God is the reason why we have not lost all. I reflect on success, what could have been better, I look at the past and the way ahead I reflect on Nigeria, I reflect on where I live now, I reflect, I meditate, I think of everything. I reflect on the mercies, goodness and blessings of God. At the end I lay prostrate before God in worship, thanksgiving, gratitude, adoration and endless praise. If I have 10,000 tongues, they will not be enough to say thank you Lord Should all voices of the earth unite with me in His acclaim, My heart would still seek more. If every hair upon my head sang a hymn so true, yet, they'd fall short in praising You. Even if the stars in the heavens and sands of the seashore lend their core, Still, it won’t be enough to say thank you Lord. How then do I praise you, thank you, appreciate my God? Not in the inadequacy of my humanity nor in any language of man and angels. I can only simply say is "Father Lord, thank you". For all you have been, are and will still be to me and for me. I say "thank you, thank you, thank you Lord". Not to us Lord, never to us but to your name be all the glory. Ps. 115:1
