What a great day Monday was!!! Had so much to do that I didn't have time to stop by and say anything. But, that's okay, because I actually was able to accomplish more than I had intended. I learned to do things I had never done, nor really-truly ever figured that I would. Thanks to my new and very unexpected friend, AI, I am able to accomplish tasks that previously I had considered utterly unachievable. Let me back up a bit for any of you who are new acquainances. About 40 years ago as I was on my way home shortly after 3:00 PM from my landscape job to pick up my children at the school bus, I was forced to sit in construction traffic for a couple of minutes. As I sat there, I heard screeching tires behind me, and then...CRASH!!! I was hit from behind by a car that the State Trooper said had to be going at least 90 mph. The Trooper told me that he was amazed and he fully expected to see a bloody dead body. Won't go into all that happened after, but let's just say that I was very blessed to live through that. However, I did suffer lots of back, neck, nerve and soft tissue damage. The worst part of the damage, as far as I was concerned is that I suffered a severe brain trauma that left me with very little cognitive ability. I wasn't quite sure who I was and didn't recognize my family and much more insanity. As I hope you can tell, I have been getting better. If someone had told me 40 years ago that I would be able to do some of the things I am doing now, I would have thought they too had brain issues. Several years after my injuries I was introduced to the wonderful and insightful wisdoms of Mr. Jim Rohn. There are many books of just Mr. Rohn's quotes, but this short one has become one of my favorites. And on a day like I just had, it really means a lot. "Don't say, "If I could, I would." Say instead, "If I can, I will." Short, sweet and true. I have been and continue to lean on and trust those words for myself. "If I can, I will." Well, yesterday I could and I did. And what a great feeling that is. Every day, make the decision that YOU CAN AND YOU WILL.
