Merry Christmas everyone! I wanted to take moment to introduce myself and let you know what I am up to! First, yes Jeanette and I are sisters. She is truly my inspiration and my go to person when I find myself stuck in project, whether it’s reading a pattern or working through learning a new stitch! I am excited to be doing this with her because I have recently started putting myself out there and selling my work. I will share more on that later as I am still in the beginning process! My most festive project this year has been stockings! If you have a couple hours and need a cute little gift these were a lot of fun to make. I came an across Sugarplum Stockings by Bella Coco, I did these in a smaller yarn then what it called because I was mainly using what I had on hand and the results were really cute. I am also really loving the Amigurumi(beware of AI though, more later on this too)patterns because they turn into super cute earrings, I used a Stitchbyfay pattern to create these little gems. People really seem to enjoy the fact that these are hand made and comfortable to wear as well as being an actual stockings. The irony is I can’t wear earrings at all but I love creating them and I can’t wait to share more with you all!!

Attending the Tea gatherings on Sundays will come with a boost. Might be thread, could be tools like hooks you never know what I will have in store. Hello everyone! I went away for a few weeks and came back to 24 new members. I am so excited you could join the community. We are in the building stage of classes right now. It would be helpful to know everyone's skill level and if you have worked with thread in the past. Our goal here is to not just work with thread but to master it! We will go from the basics and build a sampler using basic stitches and then start working on projects. We will use wonderful patterns by well know designers with a goal to eventually being able to create patterns of our own. I used my favorite doily creation a pattern by Grace Ferron as my display here but we will learn skills like creating jewelry, appliqués, panels and so much more. Please introduce yourself here in the community and look for announcements as courses are added. The community will always be free, as we get into more advanced lessons there will be fees associated with purchasing patterns and also my time and knowledge. It won't break the bank but it can keep me creating. Looking forward to learning more about all of you!
