Is there a right way to install Arch Linux?
Hey everyone, I have a CPU with these stats: RAM - 15 GB Intel core I5 processor storage - 914 Gi I have ubuntu (without GUI) on it for a while. The only usb i have already has ubuntu ISO on it and I couldn't format it on my windows. so I inserted it on ubuntu machine, ssh into it and wiped it clean. In the process I've learnt what partitions are and how to manage them, using commands like blkid, lsblk, fdisk, which felt good. I want to switch to Arch Linux now. I will be documenting the whole process as I go. I just have one doubt in mind. Is there a right way to do it? like by not watching tutorials? or do you just follow the installation guide from Arch Wiki? I'm curious if there are things I should or should'nt do to get a good learning out of this?

@Pragalva Sapkota That's right. I am looking to learn how things work under the hood. This is my first step towards that. Thanks for the documentation!!

Personally, I think weekends are great to sit on a project to complete most of it. Like setting up k3s, linux installation or something you are working on.

Labs&Projects
Hey everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has heard of this website (labex.io) before, but I just started using it for about hour today to learn. You can learn Linux, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and many more with Hands-on Labs Develop skills in Linux, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Programming, Data Science, and more through interactive labs and real-world projects. It's pretty much all hands-on activities and even has plenty of learning paths and projects that you can build (free). This is also kid friendly too.

@Balazs Pukli you have to use a -p option to ssh. Idk why but <url>:2220 is not working. Use 'ssh bandit0@bandit.labs.overthewire.org -p 2220'. You should be able to login.
Crafting my Linux skills. Any suggestions?
Hi guys, Here's my situation: I'm okay with the basics of linux. I can search files, text patterns, user group management, file operations and all but am not confident enough. 1.Is there a way to test our skills, like a scenario based simulator or a website ? I tried overthewire but was unable to login. Also, 2. How deep do we have to go into Linux concepts? Like Inodes, system processes, Cgroups and all the "under the hood" part. I think understanding those solidifies the "why" behind every concept (majorly in k8s). But Linux is an ocean, right? 3. Where do I stop? Should I even stop? 4. Any suggestions on what resources to follow or a small list of concepts to start with?

@Mohamed Alwash right? @Adrian Garcia comment did give me some clarity. Like, if you are learning k8s and came to know that resources for containers are managed by Cgroups under the hood, go ahead and explore that concept. Correct me if I'm wrong But the thing is I came to know about that much later and I wonder how many of these have I missed. Will I know if I miss more? Knowing them would definitely add to the clarity though Would definitely use your thoughts on this @Mischa van den Burg
