My first Ai animated movie
Introducing "Splat" a short animated comedy film brought to life with AI. Created entirely using Seedance 2.0, this project explores what's possible when storytelling meets next-gen AI animation tools. From concept to final cut, every frame was generated and refined to bring this lighthearted, funny story to the screen. This is just the beginning more AI-powered creative projects coming soon. Stay tuned! #AIAnimation #Seedance #ShortFilm #AIFilmmaking #GenerativeAI

@Alex Vachon . 1.The Vision & Story (100% Original Concept) The story is an original concept. I wanted to pay homage to the classic silent 3D shorts (like Pixar’s Presto or Piper). The goal was to tell a story of perseverance through a tiny hero who refuses to let gravity win. I focused on "Slapstick Humor" a universal language that everyone understands without a single word of dialogue. 2. The AI Power-Stack (Tools Used) To achieve studio-quality results as a solo creator, I used a specific combination of tools: Visuals & Character Design: OpenArt (Chosen for its incredible ability to maintain 3D textures and lighting). Animation & Motion: Seedance 2.0 (Used for its precise image-to-video and frame-to-frame capabilities). Post-Production: CapCut (For final assembly, color grading, and cinematic sound design). 3. The Prompting Strategy (The "Physics" Logic) Since AI can sometimes struggle with complex physics, I used an Action-Reaction logic in Seedance 2.0. Instead of long descriptions, I used direct, force-based prompts. Specific Prompt Example (The Tower Scene): "The mouse loses balance and throws the plate forward with force while he falls backward as the tower collapses." Technical Tip: I kept the Motion Strength high (9-10) to get that sharp, "snappy" movement essential for slapstick comedy. 4. Major Challenges Faced Character Consistency: Keeping the mouse looking exactly the same in every shot is the biggest hurdle in AI filmmaking. I solved this by using specific 'Seed' numbers and 'Character References' in OpenArt. The "Splat" Physics: Getting the cake to detach from the plate and hit the target was tricky. I used a Frame-to-Frame technique: I generated the starting frame (mouse on tower) and the target frame (cake on face), and let the AI morph the transition between them. 5. Timeline Total Duration: 1 minute 40 seconds. Production Time: Roughly 7 to 10 days from concept to final export. In traditional 3D animation, this would take a whole studio months. AI allowed me to act as the Director, Animator, and Editor simultaneously.
