Mini Exercise: Build Your English Personality
Most people collect vocabulary. Very few people collect personality. Today, choose one English phrase that reflects who you want to be when you speak English. Pick one category: 💛 Warmth – a phrase that makes people feel comfortable 😎Confidence– a phrase that sounds calm and self-assured 😂Humour– a phrase that makes conversations lighter 🤝Kindness– a phrase that shows care and consideration Examples: - Warmth: “It’s lovely to see you.” - Confidence: “I’m happy to share my thoughts.” - Humour: “Well, that didn’t go quite as planned!” - Kindness: “Take your time, there’s no rush.” Your challenge: 1. Choose one phrase. 2. Write it in the comments. 3. Tell us why it feels like you. Remember: learning English isn’t only about sounding correct. It’s also about deciding who you want to be when you speak it. 🌱

Kindness :" that's too sweet of you to say, really sooo grateful and thankful for your encouragement it means a lot me as well as it made my day thanks a bunch for you 😊". Because simply telling because honestly how it feels to somebody when they encouraged them and how positively it impacted them would really make the conversation meaningful.
Lost in translation 😅
I’d love to know an expression in your first language that cannot be translated literally into English. I’ll go first! 🇮🇹 “Conosco i miei polli.” 🇬🇧 “I know my chickens.” It means: “I know what kind of people they are, so I can predict what they’re going to do.” Every time I translate it literally as a joke in English, people look at me as though I’m an alien. 🤣 What is yours?

🇵🇸 : "يوم عسل ويوم بصل" 🇺🇸 : "A day of honey and a day of onions" It means :" Life is full of ups and downs some days are sweet and joyful (like honey), while others are bitter or difficult (like onions).

@Federica Bellesso it is my pleasure 😊🙏
Say it simply!
💭 Have you ever explained something to someone and thought: “I couldn’t have been any clearer…” …only to realise they understood something completely different? Sometimes communication problems are not caused by different values. They are caused by different assumptions. A simple model that I find fascinating: Value → Assumption → Expectation → Judgement Two people can share the same value (for example, clear communication) but have completely different ideas about what that means. One person might think: ➡️ “Being clear means getting straight to the point.” Another might think: ➡️ “Being clear means providing enough context.” Same value. Different assumptions. Different expectations. Different interpretations. The next time someone communicates in a way that frustrates you, try asking: Are we actually disagreeing on values, or are we seeing the situation through different assumptions? I’d love to hear your thoughts 👇

@Federica Bellesso it already happened with me but I urgently rescue it by rexplaining it briefly and clearly to make my point much more clearer and understandable to the other side, and I ensure my message is clear first by asking a random question regarding the topic to knowing to know if the other have an idea or not, then from the answer I start introducing the message showing the advantages of it and how we could use it effectively in daily life, so I try my best to let the other side understand me by clarifying my message.
