Tips&Tricks 2 - Duck Tape - you must have it!
I can't tell you how many things I repaired with a duck tape during my adventures. From clothes to bottles, lamps and even a crack in the hull of a kayak! So that I don't have to carry the whole large roll with me, I wind a large amount onto half of an old credit card. This way, it takes up much less space and retains its properties. Do you have any funny/extreme experience in using it?

Tips&Tricks 1 - Keep Your Map Dry
To start, I am going to share some tips and advice that you will find useful during your adventures. I will always be open to hearing from you about how you would approach a given problem. For example, how do you secure your map from getting wet? (Yes, we are talking about a paper map... during adventure racing, you are not allowed to use GPS devices to navigate)

You can always use a special map case but... Some low-budget version are not as waterproof as they seem. Many of them are not so flexible, especially if you are about to use them during diffrent stages. What is comfortable during trekking must not be during kayaking. One thing we often did with my team is to seal the map with a strong transparent tape. Make sure you don't miss any spot, otherwise the water will sneak in!🌧️
