🔥 Set Your Intention
Before the month runs you, take two minutes and decide: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗻? Not a to-do list. Not five goals. One thing. 🏆 Proof This Works From August Week 1: "𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲." — @Hil Kane That's the whole practice in one sentence. Not more strategy. Just honesty, tracked daily. Who's in for September Activation?

The one outcome that would make September feel like a win... I'm going to think on that for a bit. My gut reaction is "to get more clients and workshop participants than August" as the whole summer has been *crickets* but I'm sure I could come up with something more specific or meaningful than that.
💃 Happy Sunday - What You Up To?
Work or pleasure? We’re off to a birthday 🎁 celebration in London for Rabbi Shaul Rosenblatt. I’m excited because I get to see my lovely friend Chana (his wife). Later I’ll do my planning for the week.

Sox and I went to a dog festival by the beach today, he loved every minute of it and got so much fuss and attention! He tried the agility course but he was too small for it, so they let him do the puppy agility instead and he did great. We watched talks from a behaviourist and a nutrition expert, he sampled ALL the food and treats and got a doggy ice cream at the end. Lovely day!
🔥 Activation Round Up - July
Thank you to everyone who voted and commented yesterday and for the whole of this month. I've not only enjoyed reading your comments and watching the progression. I've loved being part of the activation, checking in and keeping myself accountable. Your votes genuinely shaped what August looks like. A few of you said it best yourselves: @Lindsey Elliott is planning to keep the four questions going even on her own, @Rachel Harmsworth said the hardest days were exactly when writing it out helped most, and more than one of you were torn between "the accountability" and "the community" as the biggest value — which, fair enough, because they're doing the same job. So here's the shape for August, built around that: 📍 I'll post here on Mondays to kick off the week, and Fridays for reflection — those are the two touch-points from me. We'll start Day 1 on Monday 4th August. 📍 For the days in between, the daily prompt lives in the Classroom, pinned in the comments on that day's lesson. If you want your daily check-in, that's where to post it — same four questions as always: ✅ What I did 🚧 What got in my way 🤔 Where I feel stuck 💚 Where I feel good Attached are the wins and lessons for this last week. Before we kick off August, comment below, what's the ONE outcome that would make this month feel like a win for you?

August is going to be such fun, I have a new cohort starting on Monday in my 4-week group programme so I'll be focusing on them, but I'll also be working to make sure the September cohort is equally full of magnificent aspiring writers! The one outcome that will make the month feel like a win will be seeing the achievements of my group as I go through their book planning journey with them.
📍 Day 20 is live: Push and Rest
Today's the last daily check-in of this month. Give it everything you've got, let yourself properly rest tonight — and listen to what your intuition has been trying to tell you. 👉 Why this matters is in the Classroom, then drop your final update: ✅ What I did 🚧 What got in my way 🤔 Where I feel stuck 💚 Where I feel good What's one thing you'll do to rest tonight? Has your intuition been telling you something this month that the busyness drowned out? 🔥 However this month went for you, showing up to write this counts. See you in the comments. 🔥

✅ What I did: Took Wednesday off and took my little grandson to the Zoo. 🚧 What got in my way: Nothing. 🤔 Where I feel stuck: I panicked a bit at first that I'd miss an important call or email, or not have time to prep for Thursday's workshop, but once the day got going I forgot all about those things. 💚 Where I feel good: It was the best day! And I didn't miss anything or get behind. I'm absolutely shattered! Who knew 2.5 year olds could have the energy to run round a zoo for 5 hours 😆
🎉 30 days done. Actually — for some of you, this is round two.
Whether you did June, July, or both, I want to hear it: what's been the MOST helpful part of the Activation Experience for you? Drop it in the comments below — even one sentence. I read every single one, and it genuinely shapes what comes next. And because I know not everyone will write a full answer (that's okay too!) — I've popped two quick polls below. 30 seconds, and it helps me build August properly instead of guessing. 👇 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?

I managed to check in most days this month, I struggled with a couple of days but I found those days were the times I needed to stop and write it out the most. Getting stuff out of my head and into a comment that other people could read made stuff real and held me accountable to learn from it. I've had some really useful guidance in the comments as well, from @MamaJ Hollows and others. I'd definitely welcome another month!

I live on a Christmas tree farm in Somerset, UK, with my dog, Sox. I love walkies on the beach, a nice cup of tea, and writing books.
