Gorgeous
Sorry I don’t post much.. but here is one: Worked nightshift(which I occasionally do),came home and finally fell asleep for a solid 3 hours. Got up and laid around…. Drank an Alani and mopped, took all the ski stuff back to the basement, made my meals for tomorrow for work, and finishing up a 2 mile walk!! When I get home, it’s an arm /upper body work out and then playing outside once the kids get off the bus!! I LOVE this weather (don’t get me Wrong. I love snow and sledding!!) but this is THE weather.
Gorgeous
Ahh late check in!
Today was an epic ride! Playlist was awesome, @Rachel Zehnder and I had bikes next to each other, and for some reason (probably preworkout 🤣) my energy was just excellent til the end when my toe got too tender (blister on my the bottom) to run anymore! That was awesome!!! Happy weekend yall!

Thanks for being here 💓
Guys, I’ve been having one of those weeks where I’m just meh. it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten anything like this (note from Glenn). we’ve been going through the motions, living in survival mode for a year with school anxiety. It meant a lot. 💓🥹 Not to mention, a big thanks to @Jenna Bower for checking on me when I went silent and wasn’t in the gym — I’m okay! I just switched my spin day — thanks to @Rachel Zehnder for nudging me to get out of my norm & try a new instructor! It was a great class and much needed despite how tired I feel this week. Never underestimate the power of giving others the feeling of being seen and loved! I strive for this, and I’ve been hard on myself lately for feeling like I’m not doing that enough for this group. Just know I’m human and have hard weeks too - but they pass and we get through them together!!! I appreciate you all. Thanks for being here!

Being gentle on ourselves
Hi everyone, I had to have a really real moment of reflection tonight. My step goal minimum on week days is 7k. Usually this is because I tend to sit at my desk and can have the freedom to get up and move but don’t as much without that goal to keep me motivated to move. I’ve realized that with back to back meetings where we just sit I struggle a lot with hitting this goal, even when I end up moving more and taking the steps intentionally and trying to get up between meetings. I could have gotten on the walking pad tonight, but the point of the goal is movement during the day, not just to power thru at night to hit an arbitrary number. So I didnt. In fact I sat on the couch and ate a bunch of food because I’m a bottomless pit and wiped with my period starting. I’m sharing this not to tell you what’s right or wrong, but to be transparent and lead by example. Some days we try, and other days it’s okay to be human. My advice to myself is to do my best not to let this happen again tomorrow (avoiding it 2 days in a row keeps it a 1 day thing). Hoping to get a good night of sleep and keep moving and fueling like a pro tomorrow!

Share your January Goals!!
I don’t have a perfect workout or nutrition plan right now — and that’s okay. Here’s what I do know I will focus on in the next week, so that I have some sort of direction... FITNESS/MOVEMENT: - I’m lifting weights 3 days per week, focusing on progressive overload (heavy + volume), spinning 2 days per week at the studio, at least one rest day a week - I’m aiming for 7–8k steps on workdays because I know I struggle with movement beyond my scheduled workouts during the week (it's so easy to sit at work) NUTRITION: - Continuing to limit my alcohol intake to 2 days a week and not more than 2 drinks a day on either of those days. - I’m cooking at home 5 nights per week (this means 5 solid, well-portioned lunches and dinners + saving $! Another goal of mine this year.) I do have a non-negotiable goal to make a more specific plan for myself in terms of my nutrition (MACROS/CALORIE GOALS) and workouts by the end of next week and start a new plan 1/12. Posting for accountability and to encourage YOU to set and share your goals publicly, too!
