Its been a while…
I’ve been slacking on posting in here — that changes now. My goal is to show up weekly with content that actually moves you forward. Quick background for anyone new: my breakup was in August. The first five months were brutal. Since then things have shifted significantly — new opportunities, real growth, a version of myself I’m genuinely proud of. But I want to hear from you. How are you feeling since joining this group? Has anything changed? What are you still struggling with? Where do you feel stuck? Drop it in the comments. No judgment. This is the place for it.

Since no one answered, I’ll be the first. 1. Better 2. Well, you asked has anything changed. My life has changed significantly… I have new friends, jobs, and wisdom since 3 years ago. I’m still not over him and still love him, but I’m focused on what God has for me right now. I am happy sometimes but there is still that lingering pain and love that I have for him. I mean he was my best friend, deeper than any crush I’ve ever had in the past… I’m continuing with college, and my career and getting closer to my goals. The gym and running has also been therapeutic. I lead the worship team in singing more now and soon might be able to post my music on Spotify. I’m more confident in what God says about me than other people. Anyhow lots of change… 3. Struggling with motivation, sometimes it’s hard to get up and get my goals done. Also family and other relationships aren’t the best as they could be as usual. Also just need prayer for how to handle certain situations. Also depression. I’m joyful in God and pain but I’m pretty sure I have it…
Welcome to Breakups to Beasts: Founder’s Story + Introduce Yourself
Hello, I'm Jay Carvalho, founder of Breakups to Beasts. My journey began in 2021, during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was fighting depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and broken relationships. I needed a way out of the pain and a path to becoming a better version of myself. Over the years I built routines that carried me through: meditation, journaling, cold showers, reading, learning new skills, and training. I started working out around 14 or 15, when I was skinny, insecure, and bullied. Training became more than physical. It gave me mental strength, confidence, and discipline. Those daily practices helped me heal, make major life decisions, seek forgiveness, grow spiritually, build businesses, and become a more grounded man. Five months ago I went through the worst heartbreak of my life. It led me to Christ. I grew up atheist, and accepting Jesus changed how I see purpose, values, and peace. That's why I started creating content: to help people facing what I faced, and to show a way to live with faith, integrity, and growth. I know what it's like to feel lost and broken, and to wonder if you'll ever feel peace again. That's why I created Breakups to Beasts. A breakup can break you down. It can also be where you rebuild: mind, body, and spirit, as a new, stronger creation. You were not broken to stay broken. This isn't just a community. It's a movement: - To heal and build real clarity, peace, and resilience - To build routines and habits that lead to lasting change - To become the best version of yourself, men and women alike - To lift up the people who are struggling the most I'll walk with you, step by step, day by day. Introduce yourself below 👇🏼 1. Who are you? 2. What brought you here? 3. What are you working through right now? 4. Who do you want to become?

1. Rachel Tunnell 2. I want a group where we can encourage and support each other when bad times hit. 3. Depression; I’m a Christian and have joy but I’m still sad. Prob genetic. I’ve been going through a lot that I don’t talk about. Relationship problems, negative thoughts, deaths, loneliness, and the feeling that some people are out to get me☠️ 4. How to get my focus off of my problems and more on God. I was thinking that if I’m in a group that talks about God 24-7 it would help. I’m in a few already, but it never hurts to join more

Lost
I'm texting her parents and not doing well. We were engaged and this is the first person I've let in. Told her everything, never lied. And she discarded me without an explanation and the longer I go the more messed up my head is over this. I can't see past her and she treated me horribly.

Happy New Year!
Thank you guys so much for all the support. I am so grateful for every one of you ❤️ I met my goals in less than four months, before the new year. When I started this, I wasn’t in a good place and never thought I’d make it this far so quickly but the Lord works miracles. While I’m not fond of the “new year, new me” saying, I do believe now is the best time to start. This moment, right now, is the best time to get consistent, change your life, and make a real difference within yourself. If you’re doing New Year’s resolutions, stay committed, stay consistent, stay disciplined—and do it all in the name of the Lord. I know a lot of you are going through a lot, and this may be a hard time, but I believe you can change your life starting this moment and things will get so much better. Everything happens for a reason all according to God’s plans. God bless you all, stay safe tonight, and don’t get wasted lol 🙏🏽
