Connection Check-In: Set aside 20 minutes this week to talk about how you’re both doing emotionally and spiritually. No phones. No kids. No distractions. Maybe a bowl of Ice Cream or your favorite 🍨 dessert (besides each other).
That’s one thing we cannot do. Haven’t been able to for years! We quit talking about each others feelings I can’t remember how long. If I ever bring something up that I need to discuss, it never fails…..he tears me down somehow or say what about me? So always makes me feel worse than I did at the beginning of conversation. He doesn’t respect me at all. I respect him. So we try our best not to communicate even though we still have all 4 kids at home (teenagers and up). Why I’m stuck in a mental health mess that can’t find any escape and keeps going in circles.
