MONDAY MOOD !!! Smiles, blues, excitement? What's shaking?
I know one of us finished yet ANOTHER ultra marathon this weekend! Congratulations, @Steph B !! I am pretty excited about having a 5k and half marathon this weekend in Kentucky. Praying the forecast changes because I am REAL sick of running in the rain. lol One thing I can say about 2026...I'm a running in the rain PRO!

Way to go! That is awesome that you have added another day of running. Not easy to change routines! Your 5k sounds fantastic. We have a mental health one here in my County that I am missing next weekend as I'll be out of town. I'm bummed. Such an awesome cause to support. Thank you for all that you do for your Community!

@Laura Bernelis no question is silly! It's a drink with calories! tailwindnutrition.com No "eating" required, tastes good, no stomach issues. I mean I can't say never, but I don't personally know anyone it has bothered, and I've probably recommended it hundreds of times.
Question for tailwind users?
I am starting to play with fuel options for a full in November following the 50k in December. I can carry 15oz of fluids in my vest or 30oz in the back bladder area. How are you using your tailwind? Treat me like a rookie that has never used it before since the last time I used it…it didn’t go well.

You are so smart to be thinking this far in advance, so that you have plenty of time to practice! You also have fantastic goals! 30oz of fluid is way too much to be carrying imo bc of the weight. Tell us more about what you mean by how are we using, and what didn't go well for you. If it didn't go well, we may need to explore another option! Good news is there is plenty of time! :)
The Heat is ON!
Tonight will be our first group run of 2026 where it is in the 70s. I know for our friends in Arizona that is nothing...but funny enough it's warmer here in MI right now than it is in Phoenix! I'm drinking my nuun right now to make sure I'm ready for it!

How is everyone's week going? Anything I or others can help with? I got up and met a friend for a run before work this morning, which is my FAVORITE time to run, but just hasn't been as easy to do, for a few different reasons in 2026. It makes for such a great start to the day! Everything feels easier when the run is already done!
