Hi Kylie & everyone...Great to be here, excited to learn! I am an Australian mum to 3 beautiful boys (my why), the youngest 2 are twins - our house is like being in an extreme sport most days. 😅 I'm a 10x bestselling author, and speaker. I have my own publishing company outside of Skool, which I've had for 16 years and I love it! There's something super special about bringing someone's story to life. 💛 I came to Skool about 15 weeks ago and started 1 community—The Skool Bookshop—a couple of weeks after joining. 3 weeks later, I opened my second community — Author Skool. In Author Skool, which currently has 55 members, I help people write, publish and build careers in writing books. I bring my 20 years of experience in all aspects of the book industry into this group. 🌟 The Skool Bookshop has 66 members so far, and is where people who love reading can check out new books, buy them, win one, and also connect with the authors who write them. They get a unique look behind the scenes into the real story behind the book from authors, which I just love. Right now - it's still a learning curve. Like everyone I guess, I had to (happily) lose my Facebook mentality and immerse myself into the Skool culture. What a breath of fresh air it is here! I feel like my soul isn't bleeding out like it was on FB. My greatest challenge is juggling everything. I have a thriving publishing business outside of Skool, which is super busy, I'm a solo mum to my 3 boys, and I'm president of the largest beach care community group in Queensland with over 13,500 members. Making time for Skool has pressed me. I wasn't prepared for the time I'd need to spend here, even though I absolutely love it. Ironically, I joined Skool to spend less time working! 🤣 I'm yet to find my balance. I'm Skooling early in the morning, after work, and whenever I get a few minutes here and there. What is next? Employing a CRM and advertising my communities on social media - yes, back to the beast! 🥴 It's the reason I joined this community to learn more about social media and email funnels. I've rarely advertised on the outside; almost all of our clients are referred or repeat clients, so this is new to me.
