Got this ↓ yesterday and not quite sure how to reply... (Another time one - but he doesn't want his posts written for him - lots of tentative language). Possibly go back and suggest we do it in two stages. I sort out his profile now and then we focus on his posts later... Good morning Rachel I hope all is well with you? Indeed I have and I’m very keen to take up your expertise and assistance and work together. As I mentioned the situation at work is insanely busy and I wonder if it might be more sensible and yield better attention and benefit from and for me, to wait. Is this possible? We appointed a new colleague recently who will have started within the next three months….to hopefully lighten the load! Would you have space and availability later in the year, towards summer, perhaps May-June time? Look forward to hearing from you 🤞

A little peed off
But will learn from it. Too many last minute cancellations or just not turning up. As if my time is not valuable. Solution: 1) In future I will be more selective about who I say yes to having a call with. 2) All will be done through email and I will ask for confirmation the day before. No confirmation. No meeting. Is there a number 3?

I have a form that they have to fill-in before our Discovery call and if they haven’t filled it in the day before I send them a quick reminder and then if they still haven’t filled it in before the meeting, I just cancel it because if they can’t answer five simple questions then they aren’t gonna be my ideal client and it saves me time wasted on calls. Equally, I’ve had a few people asked me to help them with market research and I thought it would help them and they didn’t show either and then they’ve just asked me to reschedule and I’m bog off my time is valuable and you didn’t even apologise so no LemonAID for you. I think my tolerance for rude people this year has really got to the point of nonexistence. And yes, they make perfect posts got to make some good out of it.
My call feedback
Just tried out some of the things that we did in the sales call yesterday, did miss out the magic question even though I had it written down and and I did the how important is it for you towards the end. May still have talked a little bit too much - 48% her, 52 me. Will work on that. Overall, it felt good. She said it felt right, but did still say she wanted to talk to her husband. She took a screenshot of my 'how it works page' to show him, so that feels positive and she's going to let me know tomorrow. This obviously needs practice ..but doing it with empathy is so much more comfortable. Things to improve - structure - mirroring.
