@Kevin Whitaker sorry for the delay. I am in no way offended by your words. My trust is in God and the powerful ally in my amazing wife. When I stopped running and all kinds of physical outdoor activities, and was a humbled member of 3rd BN 75th RGR RGT operating in many RASP operations ended suddenly by an 81mm mortar. Sixteen months later I could walk again but special operations was a dream. I went from suicidal thoughts and plans while drowning in a bottle and giving up on God as my “friends” dismissed me as nuts. Having been a youth pastor, associate pastor and an Air Force as well as Army Chaplain. I thought it was over but God still hung around and my wife, with the patience of Job in the Bible, brought me off the ledge. After that I developed an even closer relationship with God, my wife and kids. This came in play as once again I was blown up by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by driving over it 3 and 1/2 years after the mortar on my fourth combat tour. This led to my complete quadriplegia and after 21 surgeries I regained about 60-65% use of my arms, more on one side. So I really empathize with your pain that was all I said. Can’t do a lot as far as physical; but, I do listen well and do what I can, that is my offer to anyone who reads this. In His and your Service Quentin “Dwayne” Collins.

@Kevin Whitaker I too wanted to be a Marine; but, I ended up in the Air Force then the Army, back to the Air Force, finished in the Army and did short tours with the Navy and Marine Corps. Thank you for the kind words and respect you have shown. I feel for you by not becoming a Marine; but, I see where God has used you anyway. So I too have set my face as flint and I will not turn away. You, my friend, are now on my prayer list. God Bless You.
