The replay is up — "Eat for your stage of CKD"
Dr Upma Bhatia walked us through three real patients — No CKD, Stage 2, and Stage 4 — and built a different plate for each. Massive turnout, even bigger questions. If you missed it (or want to rewatch with your blood report in hand), the full recording is now in the Webinars section of the club. What we covered: - The KDIGO 2020 protein dial — exactly how much you need at every stage - The three minerals that decide everything: potassium, phosphorus, salt - Why "low salt" salt-substitutes can be dangerous in CKD 4–5 - The hidden phosphorus trap most CKD patients miss - The thali principle — why a properly built Indian plate is already a complete-protein meal - A live sample day-on-a-plate hitting 80g+ of protein A huge thank you to our two patient volunteers who shared their actual labs — your courage helped the whole community learn. Two things to do now: 1. Watch the replay this weekend with your most recent blood report next to you. 2. Drop your questions below — Dr Upma and I will answer them in this thread before next week's session. If you found it useful, do give feedback on google - https://share.google/pIu8oxOMzeJ0vM11U — Dr Arjun

👋 Introduce Yourself Here
This community is here to help you move from confusion about reports → to clarity and a simple plan. Your first step is very simple. Let’s introduce ourselves so we know who is here and how we can support each other STEP 1 — Introduce Yourself 👇 Comment below using this format: Hi, I’m ______. I’m from ______. My biggest kidney/health concern right now is ______. One thing that would make me feel better is ______. You’ll quickly realise many people here share similar worries about reports and health numbers. STEP 2 — Say Hello to Others 🤝 Reply to 2–3 other introductions. A simple hello, welcome, or word of encouragement can make a big difference. This community works best when we support each other. You are not alone here — and neither are they. STEP 3 — Unlock the 10 Day Kidney Health Challenge 🚀 The 10 Day Kidney Health Challenge unlocks at Level 2 To reach Level 2 faster: • Introduce yourself • Comment on posts • Support other members Once unlocked, go to Classroom → 10 Day Kidney Health Challenge → Start Day 1. 🧠 New Update — Psychiatrist Joining the Community
We’re now bringing a psychiatrist into the community. Because one thing is very clear: Mental health matters just as much as physical health Why this is important Living with kidney disease, diabetes, or ongoing health issues can feel overwhelming. And the reality is: - Around 1 in 4 people with chronic illness experience depression - Anxiety and low mood are very common — but often ignored Most people focus only on reports and medicines…but how you feel mentally affects everything. What we’re starting We’ll now have: Live mental health sessions every 2 weeks (starting next week) You’ll be able to: - understand stress, anxiety, and low mood - ask questions in a safe space - learn practical ways to cope Let’s talk honestly Have you ever felt low, stressed, or overwhelmed because of your health? Comment below — you’re not alone. One small ask If you’re finding value here, share this community with someone who might need it. The goal is simple: 👉 all the support you need — in one place

🥗 This Friday — 1 PM IST | Diet Class #2
We’re doing our second diet session focused on CKD nutrition. We’ll cover: - How to prevent CKD with diet - Diet for Stage 1–3 - Diet for Stage 4 - What actually changes as kidney function declines 💬 Let’s make this personalised To discuss diet properly, we need your numbers. Comment below: - eGFR - Creatinine - Potassium - Phosphate - Calcium We’ll select top 4 members and create a customised diet plan live so everyone can learn. This will be practical — the goal is to help you understand what YOU should actually eat 👍
