Day 14 Phone a Friend
Happy Monday to all! As we start week 3 of the 30 Day Challenge, I would like us to create more accountability for the practice. For some, this could mean sharing the space with a loved one. Inviting them to join, or just letting them know what you’re doing. For others, and one of the reasons why we are here, we can share accountability through this page. See, it’s not just that I love hearing about wins, and celebrating your practice. But I truly believe, through these shared experiences, we have the opportunity to spread more presence to those here and around us. Like the monks we see marching those endless miles, we can join together, and recognize the light of mindfulness within each of us. As always, I am here to help, celebrate, and breathe with you all, Daniel.

Day 5 Focus on a Flame
With a windy, winter day, let’s bring a candle into play. I will invite us to keep our eyes open for this next path. The practice will include us staring at a lit candle seated in front of us. I can hear the question now. Why? The reason being, is very similar to yesterdays use of internal dialogue, the candle flame will give the mind a focal point. This style of practice is really helpful if you are meditating before sunrise or after sunset, while the home is still dark. You will be staring at the flame with a soft gaze, and again, drawing mindfulness to the breath. One addition to this practice will be the use of an intention. Put something into the flame, like a stress you’ve been feeling. Put a worry, or something you’ve held onto that no longer serves you. Meditate, gaze at the flame with this intention, and finally by blowing out the candle, give yourself permission to let go. Surrender and feel the peace that follows. Amazing to think, we are only just scratching the surface of our practice! Thank you all for presence and patience. Daniel

🎉Our first 30 Day Challenge🎉
Imagine yourself, sitting there in lotus pose, breathing a sigh of relaxation, as you allow the stresses of life just melt away🧘🏽🧘🏼‍♀️. Your body and mind have released the overwhelming tension, and now you are firmly planted in a state of Zen. Sounds great, right? But Dan, where do I begin? I can’t sit still for more than a couple minutes, never mind the idea of trying to clear my brain of its constant dialogue of thoughts. Don’t worry, like any other skill in life, this one just takes a little practice. And what better way to commit, than to join a community of people all working on the same goal. This Free 30 Day Challenge is for you, if: 😔You find yourself struggling with mood swings ⚡️You’re experience low energy/motivation 💪🏽Your muscles and body are holding tension 🏎️You feel overwhelmed from life’s to-do list 🧘🏽You want to improve you existing practice What you will need: ✅ Yoga mat or soft floor space ✅ Water bottle ✅ Meditation pillow or block (optional but recommended) ✅ 1-20 minutes a day to practice. The “rules” of the game: ⏱️ Each week we will add more meditation time, starting with the first week 5 minutes. Each week will add 5+ minutes, reaching 20 minute sessions by the final week. ✔️We will hold each-other accountable by posting daily here on the community Challenge page. It can be what we felt, a picture of our practice space, or anything that shares our practice with the group. 👏🏽 As a group, we will cheer each-other on and celebrate the journey together. What I will deliver: ⭐️I will post daily in the challenge group, a prompt for that days practice. ⭐️ I will guide us through different breathwork techniques, meditation practices, and stretching routines ⭐️I will host live events every Sunday (recorded also, so you can watch whenever time allows) ⭐️Answers to any and all questions When will the challenge start? Monday, January 12th. What do I need to do to get entered? Comment on this post. See you all on the mats 🧘🏽🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️ Daniel
