It's an eye-opening idea to think that saying "I Am" can be taking God's name in vain! Using the Hebrew mindset, I wonder if that's part of what God meant in the third commandment? It's a practice in psychology to use "positive self-talk" to help you gain confidence, but using it in the context of God's name brings it to a whole new level! I'm going to make an effort to start observing instead of absorbing. Thanks, Will!
After a very depressing day today, with a lot of anger directed toward me and with the burdens that go along with my job, I really needed to hear this. I always quote that verse in Philippians to my students, but I don't always take it to heart myself. Thank you for this encouragement!
