Hey @Sam Ovens & team! I've finally started my skool (official launch is tomorrow). I would LOVE to be able to cap my total number of members and make it immediately visible to anyone looking at the skool site. Ideally, there would be a bar that indicates how much the capacity is filled up. This would introduce REAL scarcity, and members would feel even more like they're part of something special. Who's with me here?
I have a "Start Here" post that I keep pinned for new members that I would like to keep at the top of my Community timeline at all times. I also pin a weekly goals post to keep engagement going week over week, however, every time I pin a post I have to unpin and repin the "Start Here" post to keep it at the very top. It would be so much easier if we could adjust the placement of the pinned posts like we do Modules in courses.
Great that payments are now possible in Skool! Don't know about the US but in the EU its important that you can put the legal entity + adress on the invoice as issuer instead of just the Community Name, otherwise it won't be accepted for the customers to use the invoice as business expense 👍🏽 So instead of just BIG MONEY + mail BIG MONEY LLC xyz Street 1 8888 city Country
But here’s the thing that confuses me: it looks like the user pays skool and not us, then skool pays us. So accounting-wise, skool should be the issuer of the invoice, not us. My assumption is based on the fact that skool is liable for the VAT (as stated in the FAQs). Maybe @Sam Ovens can clarify this for us (and add the answer to the FAQs)?
Now you can charge money for membership to your community! Skool replaces your landing page, order form, merchant account, and everything else — it does everything, end-to-end, seamlessly. You add a price, share a link, get members, and make money. Watch the video to see how it works. Questions? Check out this Skool payments FAQ. Enjoy 🎉
Congrats! One clarifying question @Sam Ovens: On the FAQ page it says all VAT/ sales tax handling is on you. But on the example receipt there is the name of the community. Just to be sure: is this invoice clearly labeled as an invoice from Skool to the member?
Do I understand correctly that you can add multiple prices for one group? Use case: A premium tier that automatically includes access to group calls, for example?
***UPDATE: the FULL video is live now → https://bit.ly/44yx06H Still in the middle of the launch. But wanted to see if there was any interest in seeing how I generated $44K in just 18 days with Skool. It was less work than you may think. The best part is my calendar is clean without any sales calls. I don't know how to run ads so I didn't use them I could talk about: - How I'm generating traffic on TikTok and YouTube into Skool - How I'm using Skool to sell products (without sales calls) And also the tech behind it: - My automated content machine (Airtable, Zapier & Google Drive) - The backend tech with Skool (Zapier & ThriveCart) If you're interested in an A-Z video (or even a webinar) comment "video" below and I'll put it together. PLUS I'll DM you when it's out. If there are enough people I'll do a full webinar. I'll be doing this in my community. Loving Skool!
