How to collect emails before your customers buy your book on Amazon
I'm looking for feedback. Can you help me test something? I'm working on something that I'm calling a Free Book Page. I made a couple sample pages. Can you try them and let me know what you think? 1 - Evergreen Affiliate Marketing by @Nate McCallister : https://freebook.page/eam 2 - Rise of the Reader by @Nick Hutchison : https://freebook.page/rotr These are just test sites right now; they don't have Kindle ebooks attached yet. What is the purpose of these sites? Well, most customers would prefer to buy books directly on Amazon. But as an author, I want to collect their contact information. So before sending them to Amazon, I want to offer them a digital item like the ebook, PDF, sample chapter, or bonus chapter in exchange for their email. Then, send them directly to Amazon to buy the book. Make sense? If you're already an author, would you be interested in a landing page like these? Setting these pages up isn't difficult, but it's a lot of steps for a new author. Thanks for the help and feedback! Chris Green Skool Admin

Nice idea @Chris Green. I go a step further and use a scorecard or quiz around the book subject matter. Not only do I get their contact details but also every answer they gave to every question in the scorecard so I can follow them up with a personalised message or offer. I often manage to also sell them the audio version before sending them off to Amazon. Another thing I now do is to include the scorecard/quiz early on in the book itself, so I manage to capture the contact details of almost every purchaser wherever they buy it from. I use this scorecard tool and it works a dream.
