What is the purpose of these sites? Well, most customers would prefer to buy books directly on Amazon. But as an author, I want to collect their contact information. So before sending them to Amazon, I want to offer them a digital item like the ebook, PDF, sample chapter, or bonus chapter in exchange for their email. Then, send them directly to Amazon to buy the book. Make sense? If you're already an author, would you be interested in a landing page like these?
