Today I wore a decant of Phantom in Red by Rabanne. Although it’s my first time trying a Phantom flanker and I’m not a fan of the bottle, I still enjoyed this one. Don’t know if it has the DNA of the other ones but this opens very different IMO with the Saffron, Plum Liquor & Bergamot, giving it like a soft sweet and pleasing opening, at the heart you can smell those aromatic notes & in the dry down, although from the opening you can smell that ambery scent, in the dry down I didn’t get the Oud & neither the tobacco note. Projection is good for the first 1:30 to 2 hours and longevity is pretty decent, on clothe it stayed up to 8 hours. Although it’s more for cooler weather and for nighttime, I was pleased with it. Heading to meet my wife and going to my nephew’s wedfing. Wanted something uplifting so I chose French Avenue Safari Breeze. Really love the unique guava style note. This is inspired by MoAPC Tales from Zanzibar. Really ripe fruity and gets really good performance for me.

Good day gentlemen. I picked this up from a rack store on Monday first time wearing it. It’s very nice projection isn’t too massive one spray on my shirt lasted me 4 1/2 hours so then I did a second spray and it’s definitely not too strong because my female manager was in my car with me and she was the one who commented last year that I had too much cologne on, it was myslf L’bsolute ,if that’s how you spell it. Not sure how to describe it except it’s pretty much how the notes and the chords describe it definitely very nice smooth well blended. this will definitely be going into my warm weather rotation.

This was one of those fragrances that immediately vibes with me. Went straight into my no 2 spot any has been there ever since. Most famous for that gasoline accord, the edt was launched in 1988 and created by perfumers Jean-Louis Sieuzac, Michel Almairac and Maurice Roger. Fahrenheit is a complex Woody Floral Musk that creates a fiery atmosphere. The Gasoline opening, which is the most famous aspect of this scent, is a combination of violet leaf sicilian mandarin, which creates a sharp, industrial, metallic aroma. As it settles, it becomes more floral and spicy, featuring nutmeg, honeysuckle and jasmine. This adds a softness that balances the harsh opening. It finishes with a deep, masculine base of leather, cedar, vetiver & amber. The leather here is smoky and burnt, rather than soft or powdery. Performance here is rather great for an edt, easily 6hrs on skin, if it sticks to your clothing you can still catch it at the end of the day. It has a heavy presence in the first 2 hours and leaves a noticeable trail. Best suited for colder weather and evening wear. There is nothing else that smells quite like it; it is instantly recognizable.Despite being over 30 years old, it still feels modern and nichecompared to mass-market blue fragrances.
