Logic "Instrument" Slot missing when loading software instruments
If I create a new Software Instrument track and select a third party instrument like LABS or UA Massive during track creation, the instrument slot on the channel strip does not appear and the instrument doesn't load. However, if I first load a stock Logic instrument on a Software Instrument track and then replace it with LABS or UA Massive, the plugin loads and works normally. Has anyone else seen this behavior, or found a fix for third party instruments not initiating during track creation? Iโ€™m running Logic Pro on an Intel Mac. All third party plugins validate correctly in Plug-in Manager, no AU issues, and Rosetta is not applicable.
New event: Mixing with Channel Strips ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ
Hey everyone, We're hosting a brand new, free 3-day event next week called Mixing with Channel Strips. It starts Monday Dec 15th at 10am Eastern (earlier than usual). I'll be mixing a song from start to finish, using only channel strips. This is a great way to force yourself to focus on core principles, while also keeping things simple and adding analog character. On day 3, we'll also master the track, and listen to your submitted mixes, with prizes for the best. This event is hosted in partnership with SSL and Slate Digital, and I'll be using a range of channel iconic channels trips from both companies (software and hardware). You can find the event here in the Calendar tab, or click the link below to go straight there. Then you can add it to your personal calendar and grab the Zoom link. https://www.skool.com/mastering/calendar?eid=fc5533346b734994a379288bf44237bf&eoid=1765810800 See you there! Rob

Cyber Monday (VIP Annual)
Hey everyone, So first, a quick update. We are now using this Skool group as the home for our paid Membership program, as well as a central hub for all free events and free courses moving forward! That means you can expect a lot more activity in this group, and a lot more resources and fun stuff to come next year. You can continue to use this group for free, with limited access, or upgrade to a paid tier if you want to. I also wanted to let you know that we're running a great Cyber Monday deal on paid membership. Today, you can get 66% off annual VIP membership for Cyber Monday. That brings the price down from $49 per month to just $16.58 per month. This deal ends Friday, Dec 5th, and the price applies for life (you will auto-renew on this deal). VIP membership is our affordable alternative to our full audio school. It includes a step-by-step learning path covering all aspects of the music creation process (Music Production 101 & 201) as well a monthly 1:1 check-in with a professional mentor for coaching and feedback. I have attached a video below that walks you through all the details. You can see the full breakdown of the different tiers and join here: https://www.skool.com/mastering/plans To claim this deal, simply select "VIP" then "Annual" at the link above. The discount is already applied. Comment below if you have any questions! Already part of our Membership program? Keep an eye out for an email very soon with information on how to migrate your account to this Skool group. Cheers, Rob

Amazing!
Autotune - Yes / No or Maybe?
So I made a track yesterday and as usual, I put autotune on my vocals (on a slow setting) without really thinking, just to stabilise them like we're shown in the course. But actually, I was listening and there were loads of glitchy artefacts, and instead of trying to mess about with Melodyne to fix the artefacts, I tried the novel approach of removing Autotune altogether and going commando. And to me, it sounds way better. So to tune or not to tune, that is the question. Love to hear your thoughts on this.
