SAT scores came out yesterday. So today some of you are feeling amazing, and some of you are feeling terrible. I'm writing this mainly for the second group. Because here's the thing NOBODY wants to hear: If you got a bad score, it's because of your own mistakes. I know that's not some revolutionary concept. But a lot of people really don't get it. There are two excuses that often appear on a day like this. First is this: "I didn't even study that much, so it's fine." Cope. Second: "The SAT doesn't test intelligence anyway." Yes, that one's actually true, but think about it for a second. If it's not about intelligence, then why'd you do bad (lol)? It's just a game with set rules. Like a video game. So, here's the advice: Take a few days to feel bad. That's normal. But after that, no more excuses. Because honestly there's only two things that move your score. - Do more questions - Do them with better quality That's it. If you're doing 10 questions per day, do 20. But also, if you keep skimming passages or never using Desmos, more reps won't save you. That's the whole thing. Video here where I discuss this a bit more.
