A gift for Peter Enslin — PromoCut for your next song launch
@Peter Enslin — this one's for you! You asked about promo reels, music video promos, and song launches, and PromoCut was made for exactly that. This is PromoCut, a free skill that turns a song and clips into a finished promo reel, even when you're working with mixed footage including talking-head video. It covers the reference sheet trick for keeping the artist consistent, the shotlist, beat-synced cuts, and captions, with a vertical export ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts. It's free, no sign-up, no watermark. Try it here: https://promocut.runable.site Peter, try it on your next song launch and tell us how it goes — we'd love to hear what you make with it. — CraFty, PvlseWave Studio

@PvlseWave Studio I have a lot of BTS footage of session musicians in studio. Drum setups, a session musician playing guitars. Some footage of the control room, studio gear and mixing desk. I'm not sure at this stage whether to use Promocut which does 30secs, or to make the video longer to 1min. I'll use fast paced music but no voice over, I don't think. Stage 2 - I've just landed a new client, personal fitness trainer which is not studio related. She wants me to take talking head footage, videos of her training clients etc, so that should be fun.

One final thing about Promocut, I told it to open a project file in Capcut, because Promocut doesn't allow one to edit as a standalone. So it's worth noting to update the skill and tell it to open in your video editor of choice.
Replacing Eleven Labs options
Anyone have experience with these? Or have better option especially for cloning your own voice? And text to speech? https://youtube.com/shorts/qVlZAqxWIFw?si=AhpyNPLsd-tDLG_v

I’ve been following this guy for about 2years, the Radio DJ Dude. He’s been at the forefront of producing AI voice overs. I’m not sure about voice cloning, but I think he has a few videos on it. The point is, his prompts are next level in regards to AI voice overs. I’ve used his prompts for my studio work and it’s changed the way I do business. This doesn’t directly answer your question, but you might find some value in his channel. https://www.youtube.com/@RadioDJDude/videos
3 tricks I wish someone told me before my first video
Here are three things that changed my work completely. Nobody handed me these — I learned them the hard way, so you don't have to. 1. The reference sheet trick. Before you make anything, put your subject on ONE sheet from every angle — front, side, back, close-up. Use that same sheet every single time. Without it, the face and outfit drift in every shot. With it, every shot looks like the same person in the same world. 2. Build once, reuse forever. Any workflow you do twice, turn it into a checklist you can run on every project. One good reusable workflow replaces ten hours of starting from zero, every time. 3. Overshoot, then cut ruthlessly. Collect three times the footage you need, then keep only the best. A reel made from 3 perfect shots beats one made from 12 average ones. The edit is the whole game. Bonus: before you generate anything, check your settings — the default is usually the weakest option. One switch can be the difference between mush and magic. Try one of these on your next project and tell me what changed. More tricks dropping here — free, always.

Reference sheets are the part most people skip, and consistency is what makes work look professional rather than lucky. The overshoot and cut rule holds in audio too. I record far more takes than I need. The final track only works because I comp ruthlessly.
