New Logic release
Hello ! I upgraded to the new the Logic pro release this week, (needed to upgrade to latest Mac OS to be able to do so ). Have had some strange things happening. 1. First during some noodling on one of my guitars (with the Logic tuner window open)  hitting 12 fret. "oh w..t.f my guitar is not intoned" showing almost +20 % (continuous). Checked with my physical tuner and everything looked normal. Checked the logic tuner using my piano, say +15% off.input appreciated. 2.Received a sick Delay on one of my old recording and had to restart the OS to get it working.. Have U Logic users upgraded and if so do U had any problems? B.R P-G

@Sam King I never upgraded to Sequoia. Might have been the reason that the new Logic version was not a selectable alternative until I upgraded. I bought Logic and Mainstage 2010 and I never have had an upgrade problem until Big Sur and M1. (When my Roland GR55 stoped working ( USB (Midi still worked) took 12 month to solve). Other than, as Maike Beckers, weird timing and delay problems that I also solved with moving to a new project. I only use Logic to create music, so Apple Creator Studio is not an option for me. I have not used any of the session players jet, but might test the new synth pad features later. Tested the new Cord Id analyse feature, but I think that it missed the nuances like major7 and add9, but that might be my playing. I usually add the cords manually, nice feature though. Have anyone tested the accuracy of the logic tuner at 12:th fret and above ? I tested with my Synths and have the same problem in the upper registers. B.R P-G

MIDI Drums
Hi All, I'm not a drummer. I've found loops and samples that I like for my genre but with time stretching and not being able to stem split my loops (older macbook), it takes a long time to program the drums from the loops into MIDI and then use the samples that I like. The loops are great for quick demo but not for the final production. If it was simply just replacing a kick that would be easy but I need to do all the cymbals and everything. Is there a way to speed this process up or a place that has great midi packs that I could use with my samples? Using Logic Pro.

I am an old Punk drummer , but today I mostly play jazz drums. I use my Millennium MPS1000 ((MiDi mesh) not Roland but good enough). But I also use my synth pads and keys to program the drums... (logic stock sets and then quantify kick, snare and let toms hihat an cymbals swing ;-) (I do have Toontrack and their EZdrummer and SuperiorDrummer). Logic session drummer is a alternative (if U can run latest logic), but I found an affordable option in Groove Monkey (10$ package) Midi samples (depending on your taste of groove ((everything is not Great) but test their freebies and get an opinion) B.R P-G P.S Like Your style D.S
AI...
AI.... SOooooo.... thought I might throw out a 'controversial' topic.... what do peeps think of using AI generated parts in their music? Are you having success? Inspiration? I know I have been very pleasantly surprised in a variety of ways and would love to hear your experiences. :D

In yesterdays news it was stated that 18 off Spotify viral50 Sweden list, was AI tunes and that two off the artist did not exist on/in the physical plane. Think that the train already left the station. I don't like it, I don't want it. The Swedish STIM (Swedish Composers International Music bureau) has created a new AI license. "The AI license means that songwriters and artists receive a guaranteed remuneration when AI engines train on their works to learn how to make music. Using a new attribution technique, the “inspiration” for the AI works becomes traceable. The remuneration is then paid both for the training itself and then as a share of the income from the AI-generated work."

@Lisa Carton Who's Creativity ? I think is the question. As a final remark, AI tunes will have their days of glory, but finally all the people will come to hear me sing slightly out of key, and miss the beat somewhat ;-)
Large monitor for DAWing
I am considering a new, bigger TV(?) monitor, 55" for tracking and general DAW use. Any recommendations? Something to know about burn-in and how to avoid it? Thanks!

I tried to use a 55" 4k but it was too much in my face. No problem with the resolution but it felt like I had to move my head to read a sentence (another side of the proximity effect;-)). I ended up with 1 x 32"(main window), 1x27"(track, piano-roll and plugins)and a 24" touch screen ( mixer window). When recording in my booth, I use my 12" Ipad and logic remote.
